I'm seriously fucking lol'ing at all these people applying. If you know how to program, why did you add "html scripter" to your "application" ? HTML isn't much of a language, let alone one you can script in.

And why do you need so many people to do HTML? I mean, isn't one person enough?

Fyi: There aren't that many people do Java on these forums.

 

I need a lot of them i can assign multiple jobs at once. (Login, New Item, Button Scripting, etc.) It gets the job done quicker. Not to mention i can't script to save my life xD

This game won't be hard to make, aside from the server-side things.

Use a more powerful scripting language to make a game. Also, it's not easy and will cost a lot of money. There are hundreds of games that come out every day but think of the very little that actually become popular. You would need a lot of advertising which is expensive and college would help a lot. Also a team of more than 10 would help to lol

 

Ahem. http://www.gaiaonline.com/ . I think i have made my point about the scripting. As for the advertising, we will get the funding HOPEFULLY through donations. If not we will get people through advertising on forums. Not spamming though.

 

Why not just use something like PHP? or a java applet... ....

Tried em all. RC kinda sucks without custom models, RPG Maker XP doesn't make a standalone client i think (havent tried it but ive tried the other ones), FPS Creator sucks. 3D Game maker is OK, but i want to make something web based. It's alot easier than making a 3d MMO.

I am no longer going to be apart of this unless you fix it up I will give you a day or 2 to set up at least the forum correctly.

If I understand you correctly you wanted to do this thing over a forum.

you should have more forums and or sub forums. for each type of programming, idea's, possibly a feedback forum etc. that way the people making the game actually get a idea of what people want, can speak with the other coders if needed and can't get a hold of them right away via messenger etc.

Also what kind of name for a game is project 00?
You are already getting a name for a game that you have no clue what you are going to be basing the game on.

 

Ok in order:

The forum is now using invisionboard and is set up pretty well.

The way i want to build this game is by getting all the graphics and scripts one by one and then put it all together.

Making a concept forum now.

Project 00 sounded like an OK name to me D: I mean... There are parts of this game (in my mind at least) where past and present day items meet. Like you have a wooden sword when you start out the game and you can move up to like guns and stuff.

What you want to do (HTML Scripter, GFX artist, etc.): Mainly Visual basic, html, and a bit of java (Not a lot) Though my teacher can do about 20 different script languages and would be more than likely to help you guys out.
Experience in what you want to do: Visual basic, a decent amount. Nothing too radical. Html, i teach myself when I want to . Same with java
Probably Visual's the easiest for me though.
Would you consider yourself OK, Good, or Excellent at what you want to do?: Good.
Example of your work: I've got a game myself coming towards the end, kinda a mario-type theme. You know, jump around and go in a straight line (Except my versions better because you have a jetpack lol)
Why i should pick you: I litterally learned visual basic in about 5 days or so, and im practicing it every day for about 3 hours since its a req for my classes.
And i love thinking, especially outside the box. Fast typer, good with operating ideas and things + im a good at cooperating with others.
Comments: Sounds like an exciting project, along with being a good one. Uhm, If im pickted, etc, i MAY be able to get some space for hosting if its needed. It honstly depends on how much I make.
