Don't roll a Hunter!
Pick a class with a high skill cap as your first toon, i.e. Mage or Rogue. If you do this you will have a steeper learning curve, however, in the long run, you will be able to pick up other classes and do fairly well after you've learned the micro-management and intensive CC management that deals with the two classes I listed earlier.
Don't make a mistake that costs you 30-55 dollars: Roll Horde, pick a good PvP server, and make >many< friends on your leveling process.
Now, ^ up there I said PvP server, and that's to help you learn micro-management with high skill capped classes because you >will< be attacked, you >will< have mobs stolen, and you >will< be griefed. It's part of the game that everyone should experience to be a better player.

In defence of myself, just because I said those are high skill capped, but they can be played by the average player, with average skill level. I'm only suggesting that you do the previously listed things because lots of players who go into PvP later on have regrets on not being on a good server, or not being the best race for their class. im starting to play wow after 5 years of runescape, im a night elf druid atm so i can get used to it, free trial ftw?
played for about 1 hr and only got to level 7. LOL

 

if you ask me e a rouge or huner till 55 then make a dk

 

It's always boring when you start cause u cant do dungeons nor raids and yes you need to kill boars lol but i suggest a hunter or pally if you just started :
