How to minimize my RS lag?

Alright so I have tried quite a few things now. Yesterday I downloaded Java 7 and my lagg was gone and I went up like 15 fps. However today, it didn't even register I had Java installed. (I didn't even remove Java 6 Update 31 which was previous one.) So here are my specs below. I really don't wanna spend any money right now, but if you have any recommendations as to what I can download or set my runescape settings to.. feel free

Hmm, well you could start by removing any unused programs to free up space then download ccleaner and run the cleaner, that normally helps a bit but that is all I can say if you are not trying to spend money.

I'm guessing you are on a rather old comp so it might only support 2GB of RAM. You could try to pick up 1 more RAM stick and that should help, other than that you have hit your comps ceiling..

Game settings I hope you mean like what I play on.. min with max cpu usage

and I only have 1 GB RAM lol..
