it may be illegal somewhere, but as for here, it isnt. ive done this several times. and its not illegal to video something on your computer. what you do afterwards with that video is your own problem. its great, but if you dont like it. dont diss it, just dont use it.

 

why go threw the trouble when u can get the videohelper addon for firefox and just go to playlist.com and stream music and just 2 clicks u have the mp3 file high quality on ur pc.

 

Is this like limewire?

 

Where do you live? Because it is 100% illegal in the USA to have music files on your computer that you are not the legal owner of. And to be the legal owner, you need to [for most artists, all copyright protected ones] purchase it either from an official seller (such as iTunes) or buy the album from an official retailer. Why is it illegal to buy a CD, copy the files on your computer, and then sell the CD?

Cool guide, but i have to agree with most of the people advising to use LImewire or iTunes or some other form of downloading software. I used the method you described, and then compared it with the same song downloaded from limewire.

Note: Sound quality on the file i was instructed to make: 4/10
Quality from limewire: 9/10
(Yes, my oppinion, but still)

File size: My created file: 10,740 Bytes
Limewire: 3,440 Bytes
(Space saving anyone?)

So, i think the piracy community wins this one...

Look man, it's a great guide and all, but IMO it's just really impractical. Yes, this method works. The sound quality is not great, and it's just as illegal as using LimeWire. You wrote it well, your pictures are great - but in the future, I'd just recommend doing a bit of research about the topic, and to not go making false claims.

10/10 for the QUALITY of the guide
3/10 for the USEFULNESS of the guide.

I'm really looking forward to reading more guides from you in the future, because you obviously know how to put a great one together. Just in the future, try to pick one that can be somewhat useful (I have trouble with this too, don't worry - just read some of my guides...I basically get some of the same replies; very well-written guide, but either common sense or kinda not useful).
