How to disable wireless?

My sister's a bitch and hogs alll the interwebs
She uses wireless though, but since my computer is right beside the router, I use the cable. I want to shut her out for when I'm torrenting n shit, so I was wondering if any of you guys know how to disable wireless connectivity on wireless routers, specifically DLink ones (most DLink software are the same). My specific model is the DIR-615.

 

You have two separate boxes (1 for wireless, and one for cable connections)? or is it just one universal box?

 

I've had the same issue

Seeing I don't know much about your internet, etc, I'll tell you what I do and hope for the best.

1. Type in your default gateway into the URL bar of your browser.

2. If you need to enter in a master password, Look through all your Manuals, etc that came with the internet to find it.

3. There should be a Wireless, etc section. In there look for your sisters Computer name, and there should be an option for turning her off.

If you need a hand Pm me your MSN, might be easier.

 

If you don't know your default gateway, go to command prompt and type in "ipconfig". It'll show you something like this:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : alfanett.no
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

Go to your web browser and enter the default gateway. Then, you will have to type in a password. It's usually:

Username: Admin
Password: (leave it blank)

P.S. If it isn't, then contact your ISP.

Go to the wireless tab and find your sister's computer. It should look something like "NAME-PC". Right click. Disconnect.

P.S. If some of them don't work, it's because I'm using a different ISP.

 

Ya man ISPS's cant help you with your router if it didn't come directly from them.

If you can't figure out the password look on the back and hold that button in for 15 secs, that will reset the router and then the pass should be blank.

Go to options and disable wireless broadcasting.


Using teamviewer I can do this completely for you.

 

Go into your routers settings and limit the bandwidth to her computer. That's pretty greedy, though. =S
