How much trouble can i get in?

[Short Version]
-Make a tumblr for the first time
-Tell my friends friend the password
-She uploads photos of her friend, makes the page into a stalker obessesion thing.
-The other crazy girl (Who has cut herself before) Goes pysco and gets her parents to call the police
-Whats going to happen to me? I didnt upload the pictures, i deleted the tumblr..

So in a skype call on Monday night theres Me, My friend and My Friends Friend
(Shes this girl that said some shit behind my back before, so i kind of dont like her)

Anway,

She somtimes sends us links to funny things on tumblr, intriuged i said
"Can you make me a tumblr?"
"Make one yourself its not that hard"

So i made one, I told them the password to it so they can mess around on it..

Anyway, She ends up posting all these pictures of some OTHER girl and basically makes the page look like im some huge stalker who follows this girl around.

about the other girl, shes some depressed girl who has emotional issues, has intentionally hurt herself before, is currently seeing a psyciatrist.

Anyway, my friends friend shows the phyco bitch the website and tells her i made everyting. The girl freaked out, got her parents to call the police about the website.

Now im worried, whats the worst that can happen to me? Shes the one who uploaded all the pictures, Can the cops even find me? all i had on that was my email, but now i delted the whole thing

 

Tell the cops the truth, the site would know who uploaded the pictures, then tell the other girl what a bitch she is.

 

Tell the police the legitimate story? If you tell them to get in contact with tumblr or someone involved with it, to see where the photos where uploaded from, you can't get into any trouble?

 

Not much, there are too many mitigating circumstances.

For Stalking and Harassment, to my knowledge, if the police where to go to court, they would need 2 circumstances at which they need to prove that you were stalking/harassing her.
Given the fact that you never did it, they're never going to be able to do much.

At best, they'll give you a warning telling you to ensure your account is secure.

if its not on the web now, and you seriously didnt upload any of the photos then just say that if it comes to it...
tumblr should have logs of who has logged onto your account. Match when the photos were uploaded to your friend logging on and bam.. all the worry falls on her shoulders.
If its gone though, there isn't alot they can do without proof.

 

Tell the police to contact tumblr, they can check where the photos were uploaded from & youll be safe. Dw about it

Ask ANY person with a computer science degree, ask anyone who even knows a bit about computers.

There is most certainly proof of the acts that have transpired, however, because this is a criminal offense, proof beyond all reasonable doubt does not exist, not even a 50% probability, which is what is required in civil court.

 

No, you won't get into any legal trouble. The girl's family might hate you for a while though.

From what I've seen, and heard from past experience with friends not myself, Just be honest. What you need to do is tell them EVERYTHING from the start. That way they know the full story, don't let them reveal it out of yourself later on - that's a no go. You need to tell them why you did it also, it's a reasonable thing (If anything?) for you to have a laugh. There's been a lot more serious cases dealt with less severity.

 

As long as the FBI doesn't show up at your door for posting something online, you aren't in any real trouble.
