How much do grammar mistakes count?

Are they "still" important, or nowadays it is just "an option"?

 

I'm really sick and tired of people telling others to use good grammar, as long as you can understand something, it's fine. Who cares if it supposedly looks a little more "neat". As long as its not like "i p0wnz ur 455" then it's okay.

Well, it depends on the person. I personally despise reading things wr1tt3n 1n dis fash10n. 1t dr1v3s me nuts. Minor ones are alright as long they're not too noticeable such as mistaking your for you're because your too lazy to type the apostrophe. Really depends..

 

It's a matter of laziness if you ask me. I don't see why people can't just right 'you' instead of 'u'. Or 'I' instead of 'i'. It's laziness, if you want someone to understand what your trying to say use proper grammar.

 

If you just type out ur words (or like I do shorten them a bit, like ur, for your) its not problem, unless yuO tYp3 liek t|-|11zssz

As for the topic, on the internet it doesnt matter but a few helpful things like commas and full stops makes things alot easier to read and understand.

 

Well, they've always been an option, but I think that using proper grammar makes you seem more intelligent, even if it is just over the internet.

 

sometimes u can only understand what someone is talking about if they use proper grammar and so forth, but its not essential.

To people like me, they count quite a lot. I cannot stand poor grammar, and always correct people when they fail in front of me.
