How Have Video Games Impacted Your Life?

Played lots of RPG video games in school. They inspired me and gave me a good imagination. Wish I had spent more time improving actual skills like programming and design - that is one regret.

But parties and girls?

Parties are exactly the same whether you are 15 or a lonely 55 year old man. Everyone gets drunk, pretends to be happy and "crazy", wakes up next morning sick with no memory of what actually happened. Repeat following weekend - for the rest of your life.

Girls - in Highschool that you meet at parties. Enjoy your crabs, herpes, and syphilis big guy.

You don't meet real women in those places. Just a bunch of other lonely and desperate guys, and a small handfull of girls with a inflated self esteem because of all the attention.

 

It's pretty much just been a hobby, like my soccer. Probably spent a lot of time on it when I could've been doing more important things, but it is a good way to get away and have a bit of fun. Can also be a great tool for relationships and socialising. That's it really.

 

Videogames changed me totally. They helped me to become a skilled programmer!

 

Gaming has changed my life. I moved a month ago from a Saskatchewan to Ontario, I was very popular in Saskatchewan and miss my friends a lot. However I can now connect to my friends through video games and still have tons of fun like playing xbox or even sometimes scaping together.

pissed off my whole family
stopped after 6th and been good ever since

pretty big impact... i had so much school stuff to catch up to after that

 

Just wanted to add i've never in my life skipped out on hanging out with my friends/going to a party, or anything social to play video games. I hardly even play them at all now. Even when im on Xbox Live, most of the time I just sit there on the xbox dashboard just to talk to friends.

 

To be honest, the only way that video games have positively affected me was by making me happy and relieving stress. Otherwise, it honestly eats up all of my time and money.
