I'm curious how some people have bots running 24/7? Don't you have to shut your computer down at some point?
No, Desktop PC's can last for days, even months without being turned off and it will be completely fine. Not the case for laptops though, so, don't try it.
Been doing this on a laptop for over almost 2 years; my laptop is fine.
Agreed. I run multiple bots on my laptop and it is fine, even after a year of 80% botting.
Botting 24/7 is incredibly stupid as it consumes you electricity so good luck with the bill. Many young persons just let their computers on without caring about the electricity bill that their parents receive

I pay the electric bill. It's low enough that I can afford to do it. Could anyone tell me more about a vps? How do they work, how much do they typically cost and such?

Yes, but you run like one instance of RiD which is a lite task compared to people pushing their CPU and GPU to the max.Been doing this on a laptop for almost 2 years; my laptop is fine.
