How did you get scammed on 07?

I'll start off

> trying to sell my whip
> player puts up telly tab and says meet his friend at x location
> think nothing of it and accept the trade
> tab and then I realise what i did
This was back when there was no grand exchange and whips were pretty rare. Feelsbadman​

 

Only staking have I been scammed guy has hasta on him and whip in inventory end up losing 100m. This was ages ago though

 

I got scammed 20m like a month ago by trying to be quick and scam the scammer for 40m. He was doubling money in one trade and I put up 20m and then he put up 40m and i almost clicked accept but i declined because I thought something was wrong. At this point my friend does it next and makes 25m off the guy. Then I do it again and he changes it to 2m at the last second and I clicked accept. Ended up chucking my bank at the arena and won though

 

back in 2007 i was buying black (t) body and legs and didnt notice that the legs were just regular black pl8 legs lol

on the release of osrs when there was no g.e

i merched furies and i traded pretty fast n this 1 kid took out the money. gg

 

There was a scam several years ago before GE where people would change 1k or 10k rune ess to 100 or 1k and you just wouldn't realise. Was very popular and successful because I did it a few times myself

I was like 12 so I thought it was cool.

 

Yeah I remember that one too. On RS2 before EOC I got scammed a purple partyhat and to this day I don't understand how. Because he didn't take away his cash offer either. I literally accepted thinking I made a 50-70m profit and my cash pile didn't increase. Raged so hard.

 

I got scammed the exact same way you did just for 13m about a year ago lol

 

When i first started dicing back in 2011, a guy from the clan introduced me to paypal. (I had no idea about chargebacks) sold alot of Gp's to him with in 3 months then he charged me back 1.5K, It was nice and a pretty good lesson lol.

 

Haven't been scammed on 07, but back in 2007 I got done by a few classics.

> some random bloke I had been talking to all day gave me his old main, I logged in and it was all good, gave him 500k (half my bank) to xfer to the account. He logged out and changed his mains password.

Few years after that I was trying to buy membership on here and got done a few blokes who would 50/50 and log after you hooked em the first half.

 

This reminds me about the time i bought a firecape but didn't have a bank pin/another acc to hold my bank on

stupidly i trusted this guy who i thought was my friend for about 10m which was quite a lot in early osrs n he ended up blocking me n never giving me anything bk lol.

 

Befriended someone that was in the clan PVP clan as me. Eventually trusted him with my OSRS account to let him stake/PVP on it. Changed passwords and went away for 3 months to focus on real life > Came back and made over 1b, posted a picture of my wealth on my Skype status > Got hacked 24 hours later for 1b+ > Found out it was the dude I befriended who hacked me.

I did just get paid back by him though. I guess he couldn't handle the guilt.

 

I was at the GE buying rune ess and some dickhead switched out the 100k for 10k ess.

Been tricked with the rune essence scam too- don't quite understand the whip scam though. You traded your whip for the tab..?

 

pretty much, the other guy says his friend will buy in camelot for a high price whiles offering a "free" tab to get there. n basically he's hoping that u forget that your whip is still in the trade offer.

pretty dumb but ppl still fall for it
