True, this is a very rough estimate, but accounting for other deaths is a little too difficult. However, there is enough proof over here to show that 0.00045% every year is insignificant.

 

Surely it's insignificant in the big picture. But if you saw 3 million people in a closed area and saw that that many people were going to die it'd seem a little more significant. HIV doesn't necessarily have to decline the population, but HIV mixed with other causes of death should keep it more stable.

 

It'd be downright logical to think that the government planted HIV/Aids in either the gay community or just to the people in general to keep population and death rates constant, but yet, i can also be wrong, the world we live in...

 

That might be so, but if the claim regarding the fact that the government created HIV as a method of population control is true, then HIV should be powerful enough to reduce the population of the human race to a desired number in no more than 60-70 years.
either they failed miserably at making an effective disease, or your theory is wrong.

That's a cool website but how can you say that the government would want the HIV virus to be that strong? I'm sure morals came into play if they actually did make it, who could make a virus that could kill billions of people in the long run?

 

well, at it's current strength, HIV is not a useful virus for any application whatsoever. It would have been scrapped. If morals were to come into play, then HIV would not have been created, assuming your theory is correct.

 

I would like to stay ignorant in regards to this matter, and be in my own little world where this is a gene mutation.

Whether the first reported case of HIV was in the 1960s because of poor medical knowledge prior to that era, or being developed by the USA to deal with the population I wouldn't know.

There are some things I'm eager to find out, and some things I'd rather stay in the dark about, this is one of those.
