Hitting Women

Get hit for what reasons? Saying the wrong words? Adultery? And somehow in your world violence justifies this? Nobody deserves it.

Violence is never justifiable, unless it's an act of self defense. Girls shouldn't be hitting guys and guys shouldn't be hitting girls.

 

No. I wouldn't hit back, but if she has a weapon on her then game over to her. Although if shes just punching or slapping then I'll just grab her hands and try to calm her down... if she gets out of my grips then yeah I'll punch her because she made me look weak... lol

Woman from your moms era were brought with the belief that we, as men, are supposed to treat women like a different race. That we treat them like queens, and they clean the house while men go to work and make the money. Things are different now-a-days. Women want to make their own money, have the men do some of the cleaning, and have the fun men have. With todays mindset being that, why can't we treat them physically the same?

I was , too brought up with the mindset that hitting women = bad. Although many of your reasonings are valid, that if women wants to get equal right;etc, they should get HIT IF THEY HIT too. Yet, it is very difficult to change my mindset and i still believe in not hitting women unless they really go over the limits.

 

To those of you that said it's okay to hit a woman, whether it be because she's ugly or built like a boxer, you are idiots and fully deserve whatever you get from these women!
I know that in my experience as a girl I have slapped a guy or two in my day, and they had it coming. Men are louder, usually, at least in my case. If a guy screams at me I'm going to slap him. If he slaps me back, I am going to press charges. Period.

It's so easy to say it's okay to hit a woman if she's ugly (if you're a complete douchebag) but however she looks she is still a human being and still a female. We may be tough inside but not all of us are physically built to take a punch and shouldn't ever have to.

I would also like to add, that I have been tossed around by TWO boyfriends and tried very hard to fight back, and I am an average female, average weight, average everything. Assholes.

 

But what about all the, "gender equality" and "women empowerment" rallies we hear about all the time? Don't get me wrong, I believe hitting a woman is absolutely unacceptable; yet I just find your statement ironic. Earlier today I was looking at a video of a rally being held in San Diego for, "women's rights to be topless at the beach!". They basically said that if men can do it, why can't we? Yet I'm sure if you asked the majority of the people there if it's ok to hit a woman, they'd say no, probably for the same reasons as you.

If women want gender equality, it should be applicable to all areas, not just the ones convenient to them.

 

There's a HUGE! line between gender equality and abuse.

I suppose by this logic I should assume all men are self-righteous assholes that beat women and believe they only belong in the kitchen?

I am not burning any bras, here. Not beating up someone weaker than you should just be a natural inclination for any normal human being.

By all means, beat up a woman, but don't go feeling like the world is unfair when you accidentally kill her, she presses charges and you wind up imprisoned, or she knows someone much stronger than you to come to her defense.

I'm questioning why in your eyes it's alright for a woman to smack a guy around, and not expect anything in return? The size of the person is irrelevent. You've basically stated that it's ok for small people to bully larger people consequence free. What if the larger person is just a big teddy bear, is that still alright then?

 

I never claimed it's alright for a woman to hit a man.
In my case I slapped someone who entrapped me in a bathroom, blocked the door, and screamed at me. He slapped me back, hard. Fair? Is this your ideal of equality?

I am not fighting for women's equality in every aspect of life because I honestly don't believe we are equal. We are different than men. Men are physically stronger, women are more tolerant to pain and more emotional. I believe in women's rights to the extent that we should be allowed to do REASONABLE jobs that a man isn't easily better at (such as construction work)
Now, that is not to exclude that every woman shouldn't be allowed to work in a physically strenuous job. Some women are built, as it has been said.

I do not believe a woman should hit a man if he has not done something to provoke it. I have never hit a man unless I had no other choice.

Men hitting other men, is different.

Basically.
Though if two men of equal strength or similar strength want to fight, I don't see it as being necessarily a bad thing.
