I prefer Hardcore over rock and hip-hop. But if I was to choose one. Rock for sure.

HipHop contains more words than rock... I admit some hiphop is a load of shit (usually by amatures or people who have an album with all 15 songs subjected to 1 thing).
Rock doesnt have enough lyrics... and there's few instruments used. Nearly every single hiphop beat is different.

1. The words isn't the most important part of a song
2. Few Instruments? lolol, Hip-Hop doesn't even use instruments. They use computers to make the sound. And how hard is it to write a "beat"? about 10 minutes of work for a finished song.

Rap is crap.

 

Im a music producer and I do rock, hiphop and classical.
Rock is much easier for me to do... I normally only use lead guitar, a guitar just doing chords and bass. Percussion is easy
In hiphop theres a bigger variety... strings can be used; different kinds of bass and melody can be used and a lot of techniques such as off-timing.
Lyrics are also harder to write for hiphop if you want tyo make a decent song. Rhyming needs to be complex as the vocals are very rarely sung.
I'm not saying hiphop is better, I'm saying I prefer it.

I can't say I hate rap, because i do like one or two rap songs, but rock is just so much better.
