If you listen to Dance With The Devil, it talks about a young boy trying to be a hardcore thug, etc. But all his songs send a message and that's don't try to be something your not. He mostly raps about the government though... saying how the world is a fucked up place and shit, but all his points are true.

And while rock does have rhymes ever notice how they actually change the pitch of their voice to sound sad, angry, and other emotions? Well they do. And while some rock may be anti christ and about death and other pessimistic things they are still singing in a sort of way. Compare the different ways people sing in each genre. Rap they basically talk fast. Rock they growl, scream, yell, and just plain sing. Well thats all I have to say for now.

If you look for meaningful poetry with lyrical content. listen to real hip hop(not mainstream) underground and old school.

If you want hateful screaming with repetitive guitar notes, -metal
