Having Trouble Understanding Skillset [PvP]

Dont know how to word the title.

Okay so I’ve played to decent ratings on quite a few games. So I’m not somebody that doesn’t understand HOW to get better at games.

I’m struggling to find the skillset behind pvp. Not that I don’t think it takes any, I just don’t understand what I need to get better at.

It looks to me like it’s eat when you know they can spec you, and spec when you know you can kill them type thing. I’m confident that’s not how it is with higher end pvpers, but I can’t figure out how I need to look at learning to pvp in order to get better.

If anybody understands what I’m trying to ask, any tips and help and sources to find my own help would be awesome.

Everyone who is a "good" pker knows how to take advantage of pid.
You know when you heal and brew. But just know. everyone still dies.

 

Being able to time certain functions requires skill more than luck. If it was just rng the whole time, popular pkers wouldn’t win the majority of fights.

Imo the best way to learn is to learn how to NH On a pure. I really think that’s where everyone should start as you will learn a little bit of everything & is very entertaining to learn imo.

 

What is nhing? I think it stands for no honoring but idk what it means exactly.

My plan is to have some decent nostalgic fun fucking around either pvming or pvping. I just plan to make an account and sell gold I make to maybe pay a bill every month or something while I have fun. That’s what I did on wow, and I more than paid rent playing casually selling accounts. Just wondering if I HAVE to pvm to do something similar, or if I learned and got good at pking if I would be able to make a couple hundred mill a month pking. Looking for honest answers from good players, if I can’t I want to know I can’t, but if I can and it just requires me getting good, I just need to learn what to work on to get better.

To make 100M+ per month from Pking
You either need to get good at Main Nhing, or get good at risk fighting.
Is it possible?
Yes of course.
But it will take a fair amount of time and GP to get that skilled at Pking.

 

There is little skill in a lot of things you wouldn't think skill would be necessary or applied. Based on the algorithm of the game, it would be hard to think any skill is required because hits are random. Disregarding that, there is skill when it comes to clicking/timing. That's pretty much the only skill involved.

 

It's not really something you can jump right into and win every fight. Takes a lot of trial and error to understand the mechanics like other games, but once you understand pid and when to spec you should be golden. Theres a lot to things account for, like prayer and gear, but after some time you'll get more comfortable with pvp

Don't worry if you feel you get pubstomped in pvp. Everyone pretty much has 5-10 years (albeit on-off) experience with pking under their belts! Just takes a little while to get used comfortable with it. Youtube is a vital source for tips and tricks, even just watching pk commentaries to see what goes through the head of a pker.

 

There is alot of things like 1-tick specs, PID eats / hits, delays, RNG gambling, all sorts of things to becoming a good PvP player. Check out them all on Youtube.

 

thanks guys any tips on builds or strategies I could use to learn and maybe make good money off of once I’m good? Like is farming emblems a good source of income with a certain build?

 

Honestly what I would do is I would make a lower level G-maul tribrid style account, and don't pest control or anything keep your HP at a decent level. Progress that account up into a 60 attack pker, then maybe slowly start getting Defence and questing into a Zerker and pk on that for a long time, then continue on with the account into 70 Defence with Piety, and just continue to PK on one account going through several different level brackets and styles. You'll click with one of those and really know what you want your next build to be - and you'll end off with a very nice ALT account with B gloves, Piety, Fire cape, all that good stuff to make money on. From that point, make a brand new pure, fully quest it 1 Defence to your desired stats and turn it into the perfect account style you had the most fun with. Now you have a super good main/alt + your perfect desired pking account that you tested.
