Having a "chill demeanor"

So I've always been shy in school.

Towards the end of the day, (usually after 3rd period) I start talking. I was in my computer class and I asked this girl next to me if I came off as shy and she replied...

"You don't come off as shy. You come off as if you have a "chill demeanor".

Does that make sense? I may have forgot something, but that's the jist of it. She basically said that I have a chill demeanor and that people see me that way.

Which I kind of see as true because in my other classes people talk to me and we have great convo's even though I don't really try to talk.

Can someone explain to me what it means to have a "chill demeanor" or if this is good or bad?

Chill is basically slang for going with the flow and just acting calm and 'cool'. She's just saying that you're chill with things and not shy.

Well dude it basically means that your not shy, your just a chilled out guy and that you do what needs to be done with no / little effort which isn't a bad thing, no it's not bad I'd say but just try to put that little bit of effort in and you will soon see the difference

I know that. But the threads he makes are kind of self-explanatory of what girls say to him.

One piece of advice: Always read the body language and tone of the girl you are talking to, even if you don't know wtf she's talking about. Those things can say a lot about how a girl feels about you, regardless of what she says.

No, he's actually really annoying (not saying that you are, though). You just remind me of him because he was really shy in the first semester of this year, and tried to be more outgoing in the second. The way he did it made him unbearable.

Like everyone else has said, it's not a bad thing. ACTUALLY, it could be a compliment in some instances (thats up to you to look at your past with the girl and the way she said it). It's a odd question to straight up ask someone, especially a girl.

I doubt the OP is annoying if he has a chill demeanor . There are plenty of outgoing people that are cool or whatever, but I tend to hang out with the chill people. Effort is..well, effort. I don't really like exerting it when it's not necessary, thats why I play sports. Putting forth effort in school to be social eh..i'd rather have people come to me and just play it like i'm mysterious.

I used to be just chill, didn't give a fuck what was going around me.. was like danm. i'm too good..but then people just judge you, and sometimes girls won't approach you if you think you're just chill... most likely shy in your case. It's school man, do what you gotta do.. best thing i've learned is just be honest, if a girl has a nice ass, just tell her... what's she gonna do? i learned after just saying whatever is on my mind works best and has made me more friends than i need.

That's how you and him differ. He wanted to become really popular and have a lot of friends and be in every picture.
