How could I fix this

I'm really shy/awkward around girls.

When a girl comes up to me and starts trying to start a conversation I feel realllyy awkward and Ill do anything in my power to come up with an excuse to just walk away and ignore trying to talk to her.

I'm not gay just shy I quess

How can I fix this?

 

Take your courage with both hands and talk to the girl.

That won't go away, unless you get used to her.
I use to be like that, just let go.
You think of trying to show out and what will she think of you?
She won't care, you probally wont date her, so make it fun and enjoy talking to her. Laugh and start random conversations. Always fun

 

You have to spend some time with her little by little. Start with small talk and build up gradually. It happens to me a lot. Just get to know her and hang out sometimes. The awkwardness will wear out and soon, you'll be able to speak with her for hours/days. Just relax, and take a deep breathe.

 

i was like this when i was younger, around my jr high years.
what i did to get over was to just finally realize if they come up to me to talk
that means they want to talk to me and try to get close.
so what i said to myself was, if i was shy around a girl that wanted to get to know me it would be pushing her away.
so my advice is, just be open to her if she comes to you just think of what she has to overcome to come talk to you.

 

I do this same thing, but more along the lines of being shy around any girl, unless I would like to be with her. I've never had a girlfriend, and I guess this is a contributing factor to this shyness, but I'm sure that if I ever get into a relationship the shyness around girls will leave me be. It seems as though many people have this problem.

 

Thanks for the help guys but yall seem to be giving me advice for just a single girl. It's not just a single girl it's all girls that even just talk to me even if she is not trying to be flirty or romantic.

 

like i said earlier, just think they made the first move.
she wants to talk to you, even if you do something stupid she came to talk to you. flirty or not, she came to talk so just talk back.
relax when she comes, play it cool, answer what there questions.
like i said just think what they overcame to talk to you, least you could do is talk back

 

Easily, just listen to what they have to say to you and pretend that you care about the stuff, but u really don't. Think of it as a friend, girls think that they are most powerfull but they are not, show them who's the boss and talk about anything at all... even a piece of pencil.
