Haven't botted since 2014. Fill me in.

I stopped once Jagex really started hammering down on the bots - I lost my entire farm. How is it now? I remember making a check-in like two years ago and the ban rates were still pretty high. I'm interested in running 3-4 bots for 10-16 hours a day if that's possible. Let me know. Thanks

 

Botting/goldfarming is even a lot harder now, that a lot of goldfarmers have quit(at least based on the forum activity on botting sites). Still possible to get a profitable farm running though; just a bigger pain in the arse.

 

Botting is far harder than pre-2010, but with the right dedication large farms can still be made.

The top contenders right now seem to be OSBot and Tribot, which both have lots of scripts and features. When botting now you have to take more time to make the account seem human-like by switching activities more often, choosing less commonly botted areas, and adding in manual play in between if possible. This can extend bans a lot.

Sounds like it's not worth it, right? Back in the day picking flax across 10 accounts would yield a couple mill a day which would be $50-80. Nowadays I'm searching for a method to make 1-2m an hour across a couple accounts

Waste of time. Unless you're prepared to jump through lots of hoops to delay the bans, I'd avoid.

are you using OSbot stealth mode
its either mirror or stealth that is the better option.
you need VIP
guaranteed ban without it
within hours

 

it's completely subjective. if you're willing to spend a crap ton of time and money to find a working method, then it can be worth it. on the other hand, you might be the type that would do something else instead.
