Have YOU read this book?

"How to Win Friends & Influence People"​

I read it last winter and it really changed the way I acted. It's not for unsocial people or people who don't have friends, but more to better everyone. I wouldn't put my word on it, but by following what I read in the book, I've gotten into various camps and excelled at interviews that I probably wouldn't have otherwise.

With society becoming more selfish, cold and greedy, it's nice to pick up a book like this and read and really see how much the "little things" like smiling or remembering someone's name can do for you.

If you've read the book, what are some topics you read in here that really struck you, and helped you better yourself? Mine would have to be the "Don't argue" deal. My father is a lawyer and I'm a bit stubborn so every chance I get I'll try to talk down someone's idea and try to have them accept my mindset. I realized that arguing is just going to make the other person feel bitter towards me, and they won't accept anything I say even if I'm clearly right if they resent me.

For those of you interested in the book, here's the link on Amazon. For $4 it really isn't something you should pass up, I bet you could get it cheaper at a local secondhand book store or even on a kindle or reading device.

 

It's a great book. I use what I learned from it every day.

second i don't believe in the "no arguing" i love to have intelligent mature arguments about things, i think it is benificial to both partys to observe the other side.
