I can do pretty much anything on expert(except dragonforce, that's like a different game entirely). I dont get 5 stars, but I dont really care. I play for fun, it would be stupid to play for anything but fun really. Just a plastic guitar.

    Guitar Hero!

I have been able to beat it for some time. the only thing I had to practice on to be able to beat the song was the beginning it took a week or 2 maybe a little bit longer but not much to get it down. after that it was simple.guitar hero requires little to no skill because it's 5 buttons left to right, there is no complexity to the game and with the guitar hero 3 hammer-ons it lost all my respect because now you can simply button mash and if your fast enough you can beat any song.

I have completed GH3 on Hard, and i have completed around 35 of the career songs on expert, i've done more bonus songs ofcourse.

I think GH does require skill, so you press buttons, just like every other game right? You also need timing. GH requires just as much skill as most other games, though not as much as all ofcourse since some require more complex stratergy etc.

I get pissed off when people say 'Guitar Hero sucks, play a real guitar noob'. I think its incredibly ignorant, when someone is playing NHL i do not saying 'fucking noob, that game sucks balls, its a lot harder in real life. i bet you couldn't even ice skate let alone control a puck at the same time'. The reason i don't say that is because ITS A GAME, no one thinks that just because you can do something in a game means you can do it in real life. People just use that as an excuse to bitch about the fact that a game is getting more credit than the real life event that it has copied.

IMO, you do need skill for GH. It's not just a game that anyone can play..

Ok well i think if you don't like it - don't play it. Theres always going to be people who don't like a game but this thread isn't about who likes it and who doesn't.

First, it doesn't take much skill on precision unless your actually on precision mode which no one ever uses , you can be off by quite a bit and still get a note one guitar hero, and on top of that Kids think and say that all the time, go to any gaming site and ask them and i gurentee kids will be like " yeah I am awesome at guitar hero i beat hard I can easily play guitar. "

Hm then that means that my family must be godly talented, I can beat any song on the game, as can my cousin he is almost as good as me, my other little cousin is 5 and he can play a couple of expert songs, and I have gotten my 72 year old grandma to play it and she can beat songs on easy (didn't like the game so didn't play anymore han 2 songs) and succeeded in all of them. So yes I believe anyone can play it if you still think not please prove me wrong.

and to tyson, no one is saying that they hate it, atleast I'm not I wouldn't have wasted many hours playing it if I didn't I am just saying the talent\skill needed for it is near 0.

I agree that the talent is low but present. I played it for a week before i was playing on hard and i had never played GH1 or GH2 and everyone was impressed for some reason. But i think when you first play it takes a bit to get used to, you can't just come from any game and play GH. Like an FPS game, if you can play one you can pretty much play them all. I'd never played any of the Halo's before and i vs'ed my friend at Halo 3 (who owned the game) and beat him 20 : 15. Thats just because i've played FPS games before. But with GH its different, you need a different type of skill and i've seen some really really gumby players at it. Like you watch them on easy and they can't hit a single note. So it does take a level of skill but once you get the hang of it you usually forget how hard it was when you first started playing.

The new charts for DLC that RedOctane and Activision are pumping out are a lot better than what was on GH3. Activision had never worked on a rhythm game before GH3, one of the top-selling rhythm game series ever.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is set to be released on June 29, 2008. This is the new trailer from GameTrailers.com

Apparently theres a guy in the guiness book of records for beating through the fire and flames 100% on expert. Like he hit every single note, didn't miss a single one. Think his score was like a thousand off one million or something like that. Theres a vid on youtube, my friend told me about it and then he looked up the guy more and told me hes also in the guiness book of records for it and he did it live one time.
