Guides MUST be verified

It seems like every day a non verified guide is posted by some 2011 feb join date person with 20 posts claiming sum 100% win at duel arena or awesome lure guide.

That section is just a mess and lots of idiots are actually being scammed by these people.

I mean what's the point to unverified guides? Even the stickies advise people not to buy them.

I realize it's not always easy to find someone online to verify, but that also ties in with a previous suggestion to get more guide verifiers.

Thoughts?

 

Its simple don't buy from new comers unless there guide is verified

 

I agree with you mate.
They should definitely prohibit the sale of unverified guides.
Perhaps the staff can implement this and we could even introduce a new type of rank to the forums for people who can verify the guides?

 

Some of us sectionals are trying to get something done about this; however, the higher-ups seem to be too busy to post. :\

Yep, it's either scams or trying to resell a known glitch or guide under the guise of something else. I mean I personally don't care, but lot's of idiots are losing money and since this site has taken measures to protect idiots against other things (phishing etc) I thought this should be considered also.

The rank thing could be good. But i think, they should make the guide section - well guides for sale. Like the dispute section, the post can not be shown until approved by staff member, this meaning the staff member, can verify before its shown to the sythe public.

Agreed. I think there should definately be some kind of limiation / restrication to post a thread in there. It'd cut back on scams, and leaks, as suggested above.

 

Yeah I agree, however it is kind of obvious when a guide is unverified.

Do you have any idea how long and how time consuming it would take to verify every guide? If you don't trust the seller, do NOT buy it. It's a simple fix. As well, it would drastically decrease the traffic through the section.

 

Tmoe I can see how long it takes to get a guide verified, but if this was to be implemented and a $2 fee of some sort was required, I'm pretty sure there would be a severe cutback in these "spam" guides because they know they can't sell it without getting someone to verify it for them.

People shouldn't have to pay to have a guide verified. It's simply stating if someone doesn't have the money, they don't have the right to have it verified.

I find that the guide verification process atm great.

No need to add even more rules to stop idiots from being idiots.

Yes it would be time consuming to verify all the current unverified guides, but if verifying was required then 19/20 people would not bother submitting their guides to the verifies because they are scammers.

Just make it an infraction whenever someone asks an official guide verifier to verify a guide that is against the rules and there won't be a problem.
