..::INTRODUCTION::..
Which brings me to my purpose for writing this guide. Here I will be teaching you none other than how to make a guide that will be eye catching, well written, and (above all) informative. Hopefully this guide will weed out any uninformative, poorly arranged, eyesores that infest many Sythe.org guide sections. I also hope that this helps anyone writing, or thinking about writing, a guide to better understand what everyone is looking for
..::TOPIC CHIOCE::..
The first and most important thing you need to pay attention to is your topic. When choosing a topic you need to choose wisely. Think about what you want to write about :idea:. I will use an example. Imagine that I want to write a guide on How to Access the Herblore Skill. The first thing you would want to do is to elaborate on the three W's. WHAT is the herblore skill? WHERE the skill is located, can be used, accessed, etc? WHY would you want the herblore skill? You must fill out and fully answer all three W's throughout the course of the guide. If you can successfully answer the main "no-duh-questions" then you know you have an informative guide
.
..::FIRST APPEAL::..
As I've already stated above, guides must be eye catching :nuts:. No one likes to click a thread link only to be disappointed with a plain, black and white (blue and white for Sythe.org), unorganized guide ..::INFORMATION::..
Stay on topic! I can't tell you how annoying it is to be reading a guide about buying and selling on the Grand Exchange, only to be taken off on a limb about where to use the items you bought =@. It has no revelance to the subject and guide, therefore it shouldn't be included. If you really need to say something about that, then just make another guide
! When you make a topic, try to stay as close as you can without moving to another subject or guide topic.
Also, when stating information from other sources, quote and give credit to where you got the information from. If you don't, its called plagarism and you can be banned from Sythe.org (and in school/work conditions, fined/arrested).
..::FINAL NOTE::..
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this guide, its arragement/information/spelling/grammer :embar:, etc., then please post here and I will answer/change/alter anything that may be wrong.
Thank you, and I really hope that this guide helps you to better write your own guides in the future.
