GoldForFun, bigger jokes than Jagex themselves.

I requested to purchase 96 Million gold pieces from them, they agreed, payment was successful. They called me, asked for my mum, I put her on the phone. The agent then accused my mum of being fake, not being a real woman and hung up on her. After 15 minutes she called a second time, and this time she picked up. She left it on speaker and the second call was recorded.

They have been good before, but some operators who can't even speak English accuse my family of that. Gr.

 

I've had really bad dealings with websites like Gold4Fun in the past. Lots of run-arounds and it doesn't help that their native language isn't English.
I'd strongly suggest you to buy from highly trusted sythe sellers, such as R2P and Arcus in the Gold selling section of the forum, and avoid websites like Gold4Fun.

 

That's why I'd suggest going through R2Pleasent or Arcus Isidar, or Dave for all gold transactions. Websites like Gold4Fun are often dodgy when it comes to larger transactions, and often have higher prices.

Thanks mate, I know where you comming from and I understand why you do it. Innitially I answered the phone, and then the lady asked for the card owner, I then put my mother on and she refused to believe her identity, she was offering the woman photos of her license, and then she hung up abrupty calling her a 'child'.

@Apith, R2 was brilliant, brought gold from him, some from Alex2012 and some from a random on Player Auctions, all unkeen on doing a paypal transaction but all three went really well.

This isn't a 'hate on Gold4fun' thread, just a warning to be warey before purchasing. Also took 1+ hour and many threats for a refund.

 

I just recently sold my account to them, customer service was not all too bad.

 

Most of the time, you just have to know how to work with them.

 

I don't think it's a good idea to trade with any Asian based gold farm.
For one thing they are in Asia...(you probably are not.)
And most games keep an eye out for suspicious trades incolving chinese/korean isps...So even if the trade goes well you have a higher risk of receiving a ban or rollback.

 

You're not kidding about the threatening responses parts. Unfortunately it's not common sense for people to veer away altogether from Gold4Fun as they handle their smaller transactions normally at a ridiculously expensive amount.

 

I ordered once from them, seemed to go alright. I answered the phone myself and they didn't ask twice (was under 18 at the time). They've got to be super vigilant because there's probably tonnes of hassle with parents who've had their cards stolen and used by addicted little kids.

I ordered about 30m (A few months back) and the trade put up 3m. I declined and was told the transaction was complete. After hours in the chat I got no where and was told I am a liar.

Here's my tip to you. Stop being a bunch of money hungry idiots who try to scam. It's pathetic.

 

I'm selling a beast account to them this week,
will see what will happen.

 

Few rumors about them reverting payments when they claim the account gets reverted.

 

You'd be better buying from R2Pleasent.com or RSUltimate.com - both very reliable.

 

Ended up buying from both them sites, went amazing both times ^.^

 

Buying runescape gold is not even worth the money. Playing the game to achieve whatever amount of gold you're going for is better. Despite the time factor, it's still a game.

I've had problems with gold4fun as well. Wanted to claim 20m I won from a giveaway they had and they said that I didn't win when I showed them the ticket, email and everything. I was switched from rep to rep, only to find out that the contest was supposedly over 2 hours ago and that the site was bugged. Seemed logical, but then other people who were in my position said they got difference answers.

Eg: We are out of gold sorry
