I still home gym so I don't have to deal with any of that crap but I use them when I dead lift and row because my hands give out before my strength gives out. I don't understand the macho attitude about gloves, some even say that they reduce your gains lol.

Yeah I don't just because I don't care too much and I'm too lazy to go buy it lol. But I don't really have an issue with people using it...as long as your wearing them to actually work out and not for the looks lol

Gloves are a good option if you need soft hands to service your boy friend, otherwise leave them at home and be proud of yor callouses.

I'd be happy to lift that for you but I don't have gloves and my hands are to fragile to handle the weight.

Enjoy trying to moisturize your callouses with your tears because no one would let you cop a feel with those chisels you call hands

I just don't understand this mentality at all. Okay this provides me discomfort, I better do nothing about it and justify my laziness by saying I'm manly.

My hands are oily so it slides with the bar, and unless the dumbbells have metal grip, it's the same issue. I used to go to my local recreational center for the gym, but it got too crowded so I branched out to Baileys. Some random told me i'll get stronger if I don't use gloves lmfao, I just looked at him and laughed. It's amazing how easily brainwashed these meat heads are.

Of all the things, my skin is something I have received multiple compliments for. I'm not about to jeopardize it to be "macho" lmao.

And yeah, I really hate when broscience is told as gospel. Very annoying.

I've seen people who look like the lift and have experience in the gym they use lifting gloves.
But when you see a skinny individual who comes to the gym every 3 days per week with gloves is just hilarious.
I got nothing towards people who wear gym gloves or whatever you'd like to call them, imo they just look stupid.

I honestly think that without the gloves, your grip will gradually get stronger and firmer. Don't ever go with gloves, but definitely get some straps that you can put on your wrist and you can use the strap to wrap around the dumbbell. I don't know how to explain it, but that's what people do at the gyms here.

I worked out without gloves for a while, and although I got callouses, they weren't too bad. My friends then bought me a pair of gloves, and I found that they were more comfortable, and I had more control over the weight, so I've stuck with them since.

Yeah, more control allowed me to do more reps in my sets.

If you want big forearms, go gloveless and invest in chalk.

I've been doing boxing/pullups/drills for exercise because it is much more enjoyable to do for me... But on topic... I don't lift very often anymore nor use gloves when I do, but if you lift on a regular basis I would recommend using em. There's no point in having avoidable injuries no matter how small.

No one really talks about it in the gym but in lifting communities, it's seen as for pussies solely to seem more macho and I guess for shits and giggles.

I personally do not use gloves but I may start using them later on. My callouses aren't all that bad but I have them.

Why do you people even bother lifting weights. If it's just for looks fine I guess, but if you ever have to use your strength you're going to wish your hands were conditioned better.
