Girlfriend depression help

I took a job in Texas, as I couldn't go to the same college as her until 2nd semester because of my GPA..

But she has become very depressed suddenly

She had dealt with depression before, her mom committed suicide when my girlfriend was 13. Her older sister is extremely depressed.

And we've been talking a bit today, she sent me this

I'm speechless, scared, just don't know what to do.

My earliest chance to get out there is 29 days..

I text my friend (Girl, we're all really close) and she may spend the night in her dorm..


But I have no clue what to do..

She'll be fine man. I get like that sometimes aswell. I tend to say alot of things but when it comes down to it, I'll never hurt/harm myself. I struggle from really bad depression so I know what it's like feeling like that.

Just support her threw this, the more support, the more she'll understand that she has people around her that care about her. Plus, if you can get there in 29 days, then she has to be happy about that then nothing?

I think it's her way of trying to see if you care? If you know what I mean? I used to do it to my parents/family. I would say alot of things, but I never really ment it. I just did it to see the outcome.

Just try to call her each day and ask her how she is. Just don't let her "be alone for a long period" and talk to her so she won't feel alone.

everyone has dead people, just let her know that that is no reason for her to stop enjoying her life.
I went through a similar thing two years ago and even though it was hard at first, you have to understand that the sun will rise again tomorrow and the world is still the same.
It seems that her issue is social awkwardness, but the fact that she's self-aware is the first step to self-improvement.
Whenever you get to spend time with her, do things other than secks and staying home, go out and try to improve each other some way.
Perhaps she can learn a new language to someday start anew in a different country. This helps broaden one's perspective on the world; allowing you to step back and see things for what they really are, just things.
Or community service, I really enjoy doing this because it helps you realize how lucky you are to have had certain opportunities in life and makes you appreciate your life a whole lot more.

an active hobby such as hiking, or even jogging could also change the way she feels about herself. A healthy lifestyle leads to a healthy mind.

Keep her comfort and be around her alot, most of the time it's just a phase. gl

There's no way you can say "it's just a phase". It's possible that it is just a phase or a cry for attention but it's also a possible cry for help. People who are going through a lot of stress and feel as if they have no one who is there for them to help with their problems are unpredictable.

My advice is to call her and talk to her as much as you can, let her know that you truly care about her and are there for her with whatever she needs. Comfort her and let her know there's nothing wrong with her. Make her feel like she isn't weird even if she is weird to some people there's nothing wrong with that. Everyone is weird in one way or another.
