I liked a girl, she liked me. We had hung out, hooked up ect (if its important) and we were getting really close(always had been really good friends).

I had a ‘thing’ with one of her aquantinces, not even friends which ended in a rather quick and unexpected turn of events and this said person has begun spreading rumours about me (some are true, I did become a total fuckface to her, she deserved it) and me and the girl I currently have a thing with are not seeing eye to eye because of it. Some chicks before dicks shit and apparently you can’tdate your friends ex’s even though we never dated #logic.

I have been told she still has feelings for me and I have feelings for her, but its come to the stage whether I keep persuing her or just leave. (she is punching with me, so its not like I am chasing someone out of my league, regular circumstance would be an easy catch)

How I see it is your not here to marry the girl and your just going to ruin your social activity with that group of people when your done with her.

 

Well, like you said you have the fight or flight option.
You can stop trying for this girl, which in most cases I've seen even in relationships where people have been together for 2+ years a little break never hurt anybody, so maybe leave her alone until all this blows over and let her come to you? You can clearly understand why she's upset and she needs time to recover.
OR, you can keep fighting for her, proving to her that you really like her and that you're willing to do anything to make it up to her. (She might find this cute and accept you back.)

It all depends on the girl, you know her better than us, decide would she rather have time alone? Or have you show her that you do like her and not the other girl you *kinda* dated?

Hey how are you?
My opinion regarding your problem is that you should leave her some space, but talk to her so she knows that you're doing this until the general situation ends. Give her some space, but also keep talking with her to show some interest, like how is she, if she is feeling better and stuff like that.

As one of the above posts said, you can understand why she's upset, and she needs some time to recover. Otherwise you can fight for her, act mature towards the comments you will possibly receive, this option will definetely make her feel special
