So your 16 right now and she's 14? If so then its alright because its only a short amount of time the difference is 17 and 14.

 

Honestly i see no real harm in it, but the maturity levels between 14 and 17 is pretty great or atleast it is for the majority of people. If you live most anywhere in the states, without parental consent this constitutes statutory rape. And even without written consent from parents if something happens between you and said girl and she wants her parents to prosecute you WILL be going to jail and rocking the registered sex offender title for the rest of your life. A kid i knew from highschool was dating a 16 year old when he was 19, she got mad at him had her parents press charges and now he has to alert people that hes a registered sex offender anytime he moves, now he finds it next to impossible to find a job ect ect . Basically ruined his life, honestly no girl in the world is worth that sort of risk because trust me, you will break up and she could be vengeful and do just this sort of thing. BUT i personally dont see anything too wrong in it granted she is mature for her age, check your local laws and what not and educate yourself before moving further.

I don't think it's a problem as long as you're not dating a girl who's maturity is at 14-15. If she's intelligent and can keep up with the topics you're interested in, I don't see a problem. Age is irrelevant to me, it's just what mind state she's in.

17/2 = 8.5
8.5 + 7 = 15.5

So that would mean a 17 year old should avoid girls younger than 15.5

18/2 + 7 = 16, etc.

My little sister had a man thrown in jail in because of this. I faintly remember the situation but he may have been 18 and she was 14/15. Now the guy has to register as a sex offender every where he lives.
