Well if your implying that all people get high post count so they can scam?
Post count just shows how much your active.
Also if YOU had common sence, YOU could tell the spammers from the regulars.

It happens on every single message-board, and it's bullshit. It seriously isn't fair that it happens, but unfortunately, there isn't a lot anyone but the people themselves can do about it. I've even been flamed for pointing it out on another message-board...

I've seen you make an absolute shitload of good posts, and have never seen you make a "bad" one. I respect you a lot due to those posts, and I think that this is a good idea. As some people have already done in this thread, post count generally leads to stereotypes, I've known a few boards that went quite well without it. It wouldn't just lead to people judging people on post count, and flaming them as a result, it would also make the Black Market a better place, I think, without everyone saying, "0mg l33ch3r!!!!!!!!!!", rather than trading them, when they could trade them, but use precautions, there's plenty of MM out there, that'd be happy for a job, I believe.

Not that it may mean much due to my post count, but, I support this idea a lot.

I think that post count is like trust tbh..
The more post count the more ppl trust you...

    For example...

    I Have 1billion post count
A noob has 1 post count

    Who would u trust?
    :p

I don't see how removing post count gets us anywhere.

We should just stop only trading people with high post count, activity and hontesty aren't the same.

Many traders say "Will only go first if you have 1000+ posts) or something, more often than not, the people I see banned have many more posts than I do.

Seeing ones activity is nice, it shows they help keep the forum alive and everything, but we shouldn't judge everything by ones activity.

I think it's another way to show how active someone is, seeing as you have over 700 your probably very active around here only being joined in November.

IMO i really dont care about post count, or whatever.
Ive been a member since 07 i only ever post when i feel it necessary or when i am selling/buying something :)
I couldn't care less if people think i have a low post count and dont have links to my vouches. If you dont trust me i couldnt give a crap, GTFO and find someone else to trade with. ^_^

taking away PC wouldnt help the forum. there is enough scamming on here as it is, we dont need leechers that can say theyre trusted while they make up vouches with stolen sythe accounts. while it does have a few flaws, the post count system is the most effective system around.

Post Count does matter. One of the reasons is that is shows people their ranking. Usually people with high post count have been here the longest and probably know more about site than others. Plus I wanna reach Guru lol.

if they got rid of the post count then you wouldn't be able to see who is active or not ect. so it is best just to keep it, it does no harm been there

Post count needs to stay, there are several reasons for it.
    1. When post count is removed people will go into the persons previous posts, and figure out how many they have anyway.
    2. New people will join and put something stupid in there signature like 1000+ posts.
    3. Post count is an important component in judging someone. When I decide who I am trading with, if they are trustworthy etc, I usually go through this sort of cycle--
________A. Look at there join date.
________B. Compare post count to join date. (As well as posts per day)
________C. View vouches, and check who the vouches are from (legit?)
________D. See previous posts, any accusations of a scam by said member?
________E. How they speak (previous posts yet again), as well as directly to me on msn or some sort of chatting service. Do they seem intelligent?
________F. Are they going first? Are they open to MM's. Are they asking you to go first?
________G. Are there posts short, or usefull and filled with information?

I am sure many of you do things similar to this.
