1R/m = 2πrad/m = 2πrad/60s = πrad/30s. 1 RPM = πrad/30s. Therefore, you do (828.775 * &#960rad/30s. So, the answer is 86.787 rad/s.

 

Yep, I got the same answer. The book said 144.5 rad/s but I think that it's just a publishing error.

 

Either that or we're both making the same error :O (or maybe the question is phrased differently?) Just out of curiosity (as I took Physics last year), which textbook are you guys using?

 

Its actually a math textbook, Nelson Advanced Functions (First Edition).
The book itself actually has a lot of errors in it, being the first edition and all the publishers probably hurried the distribution process.
