    First running car? or first car? Cuz I've never owned a car that runs... I currently have a '54 chevy body with VERY FEW working parts. If all goes to plans and my savings dont get fucked it'll be up and running in 5 years time. I plan on doing all of the work myself (including the chop top) xcept the motor installation as I don't have a engine lift to drop an engine into it. I don't have a picture of the junker I got, but heres a picture of xactly what I'm planning on it looking like when I'm done. Except Im considering trying something I don't think has ever been done and cutting into the back, adding hinges and seals and possibly making it into a 4 door car as I prefer 4doors over 2 doors any day.

    Got the junker body from a junkyard for just $150.00 USD :D, without the motor I'll be putting around $10,000.00 USD into the car, and another 5 - 10 grand on the motor, but I gotta say it'll be nice to spend less than buying a new car (30 - 50 grand for a new car in my area) and end up driving a car worth 100 - 150 grand easily; classics dont come cheap ;)
