Finish year 12... or not ??? debate

yes please finish. you went thru 11 years already and senior year is the best year lol.

 

Go through school...its free knowledge and you can MAKE FRIENDS lol

 

It might not be easy as that mate. There's a reason a majority of school students finish year 12, they put in a lot more, and deserve to get a lot more out of it. Year 11 and 12, is hard as a bitch, you have to give up alot of fun stuff to study.

 

Ultimately, this choice is up too you.
If you can make the same amount of money, in less time, and you're sure your going to get hired, I'd say go for it. If someone who has the same knowledge as you, and went to grade 12, and you were both applying for a job, they WILL pick the grade 12.

 

Then why is it that i have already been accepted into a bachelor of programming course ?? and i dropped out...

Technically in Australia people are picked based on experience... And in programming you are picked based on your portfolio... But however i do realise for other jobs it is different... research before you consider taking up a tafe course... also lets not forget the ideals of an apprenticeship... i had a multimedia traineeship and it got me CertIII which is enough to work any multimedia editing job...

 

I still think it's stupid to not finish highschool... It's only a couple extra years. Enjoy being young and unemployed while it lasts.

 

Not everyone has a choice, my best friends father died and he had to drop out early, to get a job to support his mother and sisters.

 

I have to say stay in school... even though im not even in grade 12.

 

I would just say finish. It would simplify things, plus you won't even have to do much, just take a bunch of study halls etc. Just pull through, you will get a diploma, and be able to graduate with friends.

 

Dude, Finish school. I know personally how much school and waking up can SUCK ASS. But year 12 is truely the BEST year. study hard an go through hell during the week but then go out with your freinds and get extremely wasted on weekends and spend sunday getting better and relaxing. This cycle worked for me.

Wouldn't you rather take 1 year of waking up early for a slack 6 hours of school and then go to college and eventually get an awsome paying job and sleep till 9 every day rather than have a good year off while your freinds are in school and end up living your life waking up early for a 12 hour crap job ?

also like it has been said before here in the US you NEED a highschool diploma to go to college or even join the military. (althought the military here is getting desperate and taking anyone they cant find...you still have to have graduated)

 

Finish...You will be making a LOT more money...

Well, i chose too drop out this year.
I finished year 10, then decided i would rather join the workforce.
idc what anyone says, i didn't learn shit in high school.
The only thing with what your saying Darky is that school is ALOT cheaper then all those Tafe courses.

 

if you do school at tafe, like school in a year... its fully paid for and you get paid extra to do it once your 21.

 

You are reffering to AUSstudy... And that is scarcely enough to cover rent and food... Trust me i am on Youth Allowance... Need to get a night job to cover it whilst i study.

 

Dud i would finish its a short time and will help so much later
With career etc..

 

finish ur 12th yr of skool man.It is worth it.And try get over 85%!!!!most universities has that as a minimum average to be accepted in

no I am not, if you do school in a year when your under 21, you only get austudy if your parents are dirt poor. If your over 21 you get an allowance that doesnt fall under austudy which is about 180 bucks a week, its not much but allows you to do school pretty casually. I have never had austudy or youth allowance, parents have always made too much money... but I have always had to look after myself basically from 13. Yeh if your parents are shit poor or hide their earnings you can get austudy and youth allowance.

 

Finish year 12 get a good job make a lot of money live a happy life. Thats the long story short.
