    If you go into structrual engineering I HIGHLY suggest you work a summer or so as a framer. Those guys come on the jobs trying to tell us how to build shit when they cant build shit out of legos. When they try pushing their weight and telling me what/how to do it I always hand them my tool pouches and say "Show me". Havent got a taker yet because those guys dont know their dick from a doorknob! I suggest hands on experience framing so you can actually know how that shit goes together in practice as opposed to on paper. Shits perfect on paper, but it NEVER , EVER works out the way it does on paper.

    Already looking into that, thanks for the advice :). I actually learned that in one of my summer internships, that things on paper are not ever going to work out how it does in action. Really interesting concept though. Thx!

    Diet and exercise will help get the most out of 8 hours of sleep. Don't drink any caffeine (tea, coffee, soft drinks) on a daily basis so you don't build up a tolerance, so that when you actually need to use caffeine as a stimulant for an emergency, it will actually work.

    I actually have this same problem. i feel tired all the time even tho i sleep 8 to 11 hours.

    Your diet and sleep pattern is paramount. You should also avoid having stimulants before bed, as that will result in intermittent sleep. I.e, You have a stimulant at 10 PM, sleep at 11PM, wake up at 7 AM (8 hours sleep). That 8 hours of time will only be 3-4 hrs of total sleep, as with intermittent sleep you constantly wake up mid sleep. Stimulants are things such as, Cigarettes, Caffeine products, Chocolates, etc. Thus, when you wake up, after 8 hours, you'll be dreadfully tired.
