Sythe is a large market, you probably know that already. Many of you have made thousands of dollars, the money just keeps flooding in. However, such market needs to be adjusted to a well working system.
I'm now talking about having multiple threads in a section. As a RSPS Gold seller myself, I will bring up the RSPS section as an example for this suggestion.
Lately, I have been out-bumped and brought to 4th page in less than 24 hours. For me, each page has 20 threads so that means in <24 hours, 60 other threads passed mine. Moreover, most of these threads are just the sellers bumping their threads.
Few days ago, I took a screenshot on how it looked. You can even see a pattern in Dobi's bumping. It's not a coincidence that he bumped the thread which has lowest amount of replies & views first and later on the one which has most replies & views. This is actually smart, he is basically knocking other sellers down and putting his best-selling thread on top.
This picture is only a fraction on how it actually is. It's perfectly understandable that each thread has its own market, but it's ridiculous allowing members to have 5 threads and allow them to bump each one of them. Specially when there are multiple people doing it, therefore stacking up.
You do not even know if these sellers do even have stock in these markets or are just using them to knock other sellers down. Each time they get a customer, they can refuse and state that they have no stock. If that is the case.
Nonetheless, that is not the only issue. The main issue is that it messes up for everyone else trying to sell. If you despite what I have showed you now, still think this should be allowed, then I will go ahead and make 15 threads for each RSPS market to knock everyone down and put my best-selling thread on top. Since you like how the system is, then I expect ZERO complaints.
Just kidding, but I bet that you did probably get a thought of "wtf? nah".
My suggestion is to have an addition to the 8-hour bump rule. This addition would be to limit on how many threads each 8 hours. I would suggest making it two threads. Basically, allow sellers to only bump TWO threads each 8 hours. I believe in observance of equality when it comes to business markets.
^ To clarify this suggestion, I only meant in a specific section. For instance, if you have total of 7 threads.
3 in RSPS and 4 in RS 07
You are allowed to bump 2 threads (each 8 hours) in the RSPS section and 2 threads in 07 section (each 8 hours).
Summarization: Sellers will still be allowed to have multiple threads, however they will have a 2 threads limit with the 8 hour bumping rule.
