No I'm waiting to die from cancer

 

I understand the money was held for too long, money was lost. Ok, but what about the rest of it? It went from $9000 to $5600. How? I think it's more than justifiable to be a tiny bit upset

 

Summary on my end of involvement in the fundraiser ;

-Sold all prizeboxes and donated it to the gofundme (I wasn't aware they didn't accept PP, but ended up tanking the USD conversion fees with my Canadian CC)

-I agreed to buy any donated gold at 1.15$/m to help out with the fundraiser.
-I accepted 4.6b of "donated gold"

Before I was given the last bil (an hour or so ago), I was informed that the gold wasn't actually donated, but they were trying to recuperate some of the BTC loss by buying gold off a third party for 1.05 to sell to us at 1.15 (which gave us a 14c loss per mil since our buy price was 1.01, only 10c/m of which helped the fundraiser out). I ended up taking the last bil, but still think it was very deceiving of whoever thought it was a good idea to transfer loss from BTC to me. I'm not even sure if any of the gold I was given was actually donated.

 

Lmao exactly, worst case scenario this should be higher than it currently seems like it is. In reality it should still be close to 7K.

 

I wont ramble with you no more, but I just wanna say something. what you just said, and how disrespectful you are, makes sythe a bad community.

 

I'm not saying this as a fact nor definitively, but I don't believe $1,000 was lost. I don't think there was more than $6,000 bitcoin donated. Also, I'm not sure if that amount is just the $5,000 friday donation, the $5,000 + $600 grave bitcoin donation, etc. Let's wait for the facts before we start jumping to conclusions.

 

I agree 100%. All of the donations should have gone immediately to the gofundme.

 

This is such a shitty thing for them to Jon's family and you. You had an agreement to take donated gold at 1.15, you shouldn't have to take any of it at the higher rate. They lied to you and basically scammed you.

If before the 1.15 rate it was 1.05, then that means at some point they were below 5k? Seriously? How does that happen? That's not mathematically possible.

 

Seems like you may have been taken advantage of because of your generosity.

I agree, its not right that Bogla gets the short end of the stick, even if the donated amount gets fixed, Bogla should be reimbursed, you cant fuck up then stick ur fuck up on bogla to recover the funds for the raffle and let bogla take the hit lol.

No matter what happens with the donation amount, Bogla should not of been slapped with a loss for trying to HELP TAKE DONATIONS.

Hey if theres any respect left for this situation, I suggest all parties involved, being staff @Dunworry @Roary @Meteor ttb video gracious (etc), @Sythe who's out of the loop and @Bogla to have a separate conversation.


Not involving spamforumtrollfest, who are not helping the situation, and want to point blame at any cost.

 

Too many questions, not enough answers.

 

Oh the facts, you mean the exact math? I already showed the absolute lowest amount physically possible. This doesn't include any tickets sold at $5 instead of $4. This doesn't include any in betweens, just absolute highs and lows. This doesn't include buying gold at 1.05 and selling it at 1.15

And the number still seems to be lower than it could theoretically be.

 

There was a $20 for 5 ticket special. So it's not just 1925 x $5. it's somewhere between $4 and $5 per ticket, heavily leaning towards $4
