My e-mail to Jagex (sent date 15/02/2011):
I basically tried to bribe Jagex to unban it. I guess they're not as money hungry as people think they are.
Their response (26/09/2011):
The only link in it is a valid link, and the e-mail address is the parents mailbox address.
Hello Jagex,
My son's account was banned for rule-breaking. We'd like to buy it back for him for his birthday. We understand that the account will be put into negative credit, and we have to pay to get it back. We're fine with this.
His login name was Spinny 1, display name was Holodisk.
We appreciate it, thank you.

Hi there,
Thank you for contacting us about the status of your RuneScape Account.
Your account has been banned from RuneScape due to breaking one or more of our “Honour†rules:
Macroing, and use of bots or third-party software.
We passed the account on to our specialist investigations team who have reviewed the offence on the account and confirmed that the ban is correct. This means removing the ban, rolling back or resetting the skills and levels on the account is not an alternative.
Any bans that have been on an account for a long time only serve to show how serious we are about stopping bots from being used in RuneScape. Bots really do ruin the game for everybody by providing levels and items to people that they wouldn't normally have. This in turn encourages the lower levels to cheat also, just to have a fighting chance of taking part on equal ground.
Our policy has always been that we do not tolerate any form of cheating and we do not ban accounts lightly. Significant evidence is always collected before any ban is issued to an account. We do not reveal the evidence that we have collected, since most cheats only want to know the evidence so that they can avoid getting caught the next time.
At this stage we do not offer the option to buy back a banned account. This was purely a test we did a while ago to see if it was a viable option. If we do choose to reinstate this option, the accounts will be chosen using set values, not upon request.
You are, of course, more than welcome to create and play on a new account to catch up with your friends and get back into the game. We do not hold the bans from any previous accounts against you, our decision on this account is final though.
If you have any other questions for us, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us again.
Kind Regards,
