Don't remove DNT without repayment...

Saw this situation occur with Won_gold. Doesn't seem like an incentive for them to repay quickly without a DNT... They managed to get it removed and still are not communicating with the user who is missing over 10k in payment.

Just not sure the reason behind removing a DNT during an unsolved case, curious of others thoughts.


Example: won_gold_gold SCAMMED for over 10k!

 

If an admin is in contact with the user and needs some time to get the money they are going to get rid of the dnt so the dude can make money to pay, hop off. 10k is a lot, the admin would rather remove it and hope that he pays.

 

They've had 5 years to make the 10k to pay it off, they've ignored paying back the user. Who's to say they don't get spooked and just exit scam after their DNT was just removed? Clearly they can't be trusted and are consistently ignoring the user who was scammed. The least they could do is communicate about the situation if what you said above is going to be happening. This doesn't seem like a situation where the DNT should have been removed.

 

They're a multi million dollar business, obviously they have 10k sitting around to repay. They probably flip that alone in gp every day, forget all the other games they trade on.

 

Won mainly targets the Chinese market and I can already sense the issue here based off my experience trading on chinese platforms.

Many platforms are like G2A where you have to wait a week for your funds to be cashed out. Not to mention, BTC and PayPal aren't the primary wallets used. Most chinese vendors have their money in the chinese version of PP, Alipay and also Chinese bank accounts which transferring RMB outside of china (even virtually) is very complex due to the laws of sending money outside of china.

I also meant to add that as a huge vendor he does have LOTS of pending orders. If a lot of his funds are stuck in escrow and pending disbursements, this combined with the pending orders and the inconveniences of wiring money from Chinese banks to wallets such as Wechat, Alipay, and Paypal, makes it much harder than the average gold flipper who just deals in crypto and the privileges of dealing with just USA and Europe demographics

 

No, they are not a multi-million dollar business. That's just wrong. They have probably traded upwards of millions of dollars in their career but do not make THAT much to have on hand.

 

+1 To thread creator opinion. Wons should be DNT till its resolved. I think rules is same for everything? But maybe there is some private interest? We simple users will never know. I hope person will get paid. :/

Not being funny, you go into a shop and you "attempt to steal" does this mean you're not punished? of course not. The same logic applies here.

At the end of the day, there is quite obvious valid proof that X Y and Z happened, this meaning that they shouldn't be allowed to continue marketing until further notice.

A lot of people are under the assumption that won didn't pay this guy. Right now we don't have clear proof of that and given the amount involved we are going to be very diligent collecting evidence from both parties on what happened. If it is decided that won owes, then they will receive a DNT until they pay. This decision has not yet been made so there is no need to apply a DNT.
