Well, I am like......Today I played in the afternoon and everything went okay...Then I disconnected from Runescape and went to have dinner. While having dinner, I got a message from gmail telling me that my password has been changed like what the f.....? I haven't been on the gmail account attached to my runescape account since I created it...I went to gmail and change my password inmediately and then it got changed again...I checked my runescape account and everything was fine, nobody has logged in it...I then changed the gmail pass again and again and it got changed again like wtf???? nobody had access to it and I have no viruses/malwares on my computer...Unfortunately I had to go irl and left like that..yee my bad...I came back and checked everything, my gmail password again changed and my Runescape account cleaned this time...

I have no idea how this happened. I got two computers, one for chatting and stuff (this one) and the other one for playing Runescape ( just for that, I never download anything on it)..I am really impressed cuz as far as I am concerned my gaming computer has no viruses/keyloggers/malwares, etc and I have never been hacked before...wow lol...

I lost a full mask set+85M 07 gp+ armours for pking....=|
The acc is not that high but I had lots of expensive stuff that I bought using my money from firecapes...

I am speechless =| I will go on with my firecape service but I will not play rs anymore lol....

Enjoy it, trust me I won't recover it.

I have played rs since 2006 and nothing has hacked me until today, I have played on the same computer and nothing had been downloaded...This is so weird...=|

Were you botting on the account at all? If so, almost the exact same thing happened to me a few months ago. Also, did you manage to get the IP address of last person that logged in? Might want to see if it matches to anyone here on Sythe.

Man, I feel so sorry for you mate, you could have FUD (fully undected) Rat on your computer I would just though the harddrive away (plus it could be gone for network) Scan all your computer at once

 

Don't blame you for quitting Losing 85m+ is rough, but the account wasn't too high a level. If it is your last account, I'm sure giving it up won't be much of a problem.

You sure the e-mails weren't phishing e-mails?

 

Most likely the case. I'd check where those original "password changed" emails came from. If they phished you there, they had your email and all of its info to take the account

 

Most likely phishing. If you changed your password with the link in your email, then you got phished.

 

Just checked my gaming computer with avast antivirus, superantispyware and malwarebytes....Nothing was found ...Disabled all remote control...So weird like this has never happened to me b4...Anyway I will just play xbox 360 in the future lol good luck to whoever got the acc

 

Could be a close friend or something? maybe he just took your stuff for a joke
