Legacy account locked and not receiving reset emails?

    Legacy account locked and not receiving reset emails?

    Hey!

    I recently bought an unregistered legacy account from a trusted seller. I registered the account to my email, and changed password right after buying it.

    Yesterday it got locked for suspicious activity, which is fairly normal when buying and acc and it changes IP in a suspiciously short time. I tried unlocking it the normal way, but the weird thing is that I'm not receiving the "password reset" email to the registered gmail account.

    I have tried multiple times, and checked my gmail spamfolder, forwarding-rules, blocked adresses etc and can't find anything wrong.

    Has anyone else experienced this? I assume I need to ask the seller for help to go through the account recovery form..

    Hi,

    This means the account got locked (because they think the account got stolen) and password resets would go to the original login email. So not your registered email address. So either you ask the seller for access to the original login email, and if this was a fake email you ask the seller to recover the account.

    If this all fails unfortunately your account is lost : /

    Legacy account locked and not receiving reset emails?

    Is the login email of a legacy account considered the original email? I thought that if a legacy account got locked, the password reset email would go to the registered email

    When you clicked on "recover account" did it ask you to type an email?
