Donation Via Other Methods [Not Paypal]

Proof would have to be provided to Matt on the weekly deposit which would then be held back to cover my loss. Matt would then remove the donation perk and the member would not be allowed to donate again unless by mail. I guess something I see to is after a period of time, it is a challenge to pull back a PayPal gift. Or.. maybe the member is never allowed to donate again?

As for $200.. no problem with the issues on my end of someone charging back up to $1k in donations.. I can handle the slack until it is made up with other donations.

I didn't really understand what you said, to be quite honest, but if someone charges back a PayPal donation, they'd be permanently banned, regardless. It's scamming.

Don't be silly. TJ is one of the most trusted members here, just because he's not official isn't a good reason to not use him.

As for official PayPal donations, or any other method, I don't see it coming available anytime soon. Mail and WU are not only the safest and easiest, but Matthew is also very busy and probably couldn't deal with any other method.

 

Harped total support for your post, I too feel it would fall under the same thing as scamming. Member must be responsible for funds spent/donated.

 

There is already a thing for this, and you can check my signature for that. Paypal donations were originally started by some kid for strict profit, where i turned around and did it for the basic material costs. Once the money leaves you and goes to Matthew, it is the sites, and you can't get it back.

Going back too the SMS Idea,

Could this be possible? Or even a PBP method?

Daopay, Surfpin, etc, they could all work. Support that they need a new Method.

(Also, Surfpin and Daopay can be done without having too change money too US Dollars, making it easier for Non-US Citizens.)

 

I still don't get how Sythe would benefit from having RS pins (a majority illegally obtained pins via PL - which is a whole issue in itself).

 

I disagree with all of your ideas. But I really like the SMS idea if you could get that set up.

I wouldn't mind an SMS way, of donating, say it'd charge $10 each time or you could do different numbers to txt for a different ammount and you just give Matthew the code or w/e it sends you back and he gives you the correct donation.

I'd totally donated $10+ a month to sythe if I could do that.
