Remember when kids would run after you saying they will buy your rune set for 1000k, then at trade window quickly switch to 10004. Those were the days.


Everything was better 'back then'.

Yeah also did you remember some people saying ''Drop party!!! I'm quitting!!!'' and bunch of players would follow them and the guy/girl who has a drop party would go at Black Knight's Fortress and do his drop party in lvl 1 wild with lurers hidden a bit deeper in the wild LOL?

I remember the 10004 thing, drop party lures, trimming armour. Pretty long ago .
I fell for the trimming armour(almost). I thought he could trim bronze

Haha! Just remembered, you use to pick your class, I think the choices were warrior/wizard and ranger? Were any of you there for that?

 

Remember when party hats were just a, hat? Remember when pking was actually pking. Remember the scams of staking? Turning melee off real quick. Everything was better, then.

 

the first ever runescape was great though, anybody else remember the days? fat monitors on the 56k dial up on the RSC?

 

These aren't all that far back... some good things you should remember are things like:

People pulling christmas crackers in hopes of a Rune 2h.

 

Don't remember whips being 100m... maybe I just didn't pay attention.

I didn't start early enough to see whips at 100m, but I certainly do remember the HAM robes.. and thinking I was cool in them...

 

Remember when Runescape wasnt so gay.

 

Maybe a RS2 veteran. Even then meh. Still a year late. But compared to most newfags on RS, yes.

Personally I started in September 2001.. before p2p even existed haha XD shits changed soo much since then. Wish I could start it over, like with no knowledge of the game and back to 2001.

 

I remember the good old days bk when i started playing runescape classic bluerose13x was the first player to make rune armour and started doing drop partys and people would use telegrab to grab the items off the ground, sleeping bags, fatigue, disks of returning, wine of zamorak, r2h was the best weopon dragon weopons first coming out and armour as well, sleeping in beds way to much stuff it was very addicting especially remembering when the dragon quest first came out and u can use rune plates and also being a lvl 3 pure wit 99 mage and rage all of that stuff.... it was fun bk then heard runescape is bringing bk classic in 2010

 

Haha yeah. I used to wear full ham robes, a yellow team cape and a g maul as my wep, i was fucking 1337. I quit after that like a thousand times, then i came back and did some stakes, this guy like 20 levels above me was staking like a d scim and obby cape and i owned him both times... so fun. And the lag Fally was the worst on world 2, merching then could make so much more so much faster too. I remember i used to buy like 1k sharks (when they were like 700-800gp each) and loads of random wep and pots, and go to the wild with *just* a g maul and full rune, and i fought a guy in the same stuff and used my specs straight away etc. Nooby times but so fun, remember them really well too. :laugh:

 

That picture is not that old. I remember when the updates were in the upper right corner, in a little box.

Also I remember I used to buy shade sets for 20k

and when the skill page had 4 blanks at the bottom

when santa hats were 1m

and now i have an untouched lvl 3 in runescape classic.

alot of people in this thread didnt even play as long as they say they do. they just say obviouse facts about what runescape was like along time ago.
