Do you hate it when people try to "Save" you?

I think having atheists try to save me is way, way more irritating than theists.

 

Yes I do. If I wanted to be 'saved' then I would have gone to a church and started.

When has an atheist tried to convince you out of your religion? I'm going to pull a number out of my ass here, but I believe that around 95% of athiests don't care what religion you are, but don't follow one themselves. Therefore we don't need to 'save' you.

Statements like this is exactly the reason that all religion is stupid. It's just groups of people bickering at each others' differences (often trivial). If mankind embraced different concepts, debated and discussed, many millions of people would have never died.

 

Personally I detest people trying to save me, if conversion isnt entirely self initiated, what is the point of it. Id prefer Buddhism without its active interference in life, or hinduism which essentially doesnt discourage hedonism.

Besides, all the christian evangelists and their views on who goes to heaven just convinces me that heaven is a boring place, rather than enjoy the nice weather stuck up there with other bible thumping evangelists, id choose hell, for the company if nothing else

 

I'm not too bothered with the idea of people trying to 'save me'; however, everyone should just mind their own business, religion shouldn't be forced upon you.

 

I usually don't mind it, however I voted yes. One time I was walking home from school, and these three girls at least two years younger than me came up to me (don't take offense to anything i'm about to say) and they were all minorities. They bombarded my with pamphlets and asked if I wanted to hear the story of "Our lord christ" as I was about to correct her and say "YOUR lord christ" she started talking..after her following me for fifteen minutes I got her away from me.

Walked away thinking "She has a reason to believe in something."

 

Atheism is not a religion, it's a lack thereof.

Hence the "a"-theism.

It truly irritates me when someone says they'll "pray for me", or when they attempt to convert me to their beliefs, because it simply shows how arrogant they are.

Theism-Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in a personal God as creator and ruler of the world.

A-Not or without.

Without belief in the existence of a god.

I saw this thread and i never commented it because noone tried to save me. the other day at work some dude was like "someone you know has a message for you" and im like, what is it? and he says "thanks for commin to work today" and i go, "who;s that from?" and he says "jesus christ." freaked me the fuck out to be honest
