Do you Believe in Evolution?

Its really annoying that topics like this alwace end up in
Atheist VS Theist... For some reason.
Why can't we just debate about evolution without using the Bible or GOD.
And just use the Scientific Proof we have to debate with and not the things unknown.

evolution is real, thats all there is to it, you would have to be absolutely ignorant to be so stuck on your religion that you refuse to believe scientific facts and clear evidence

 

Catholics are allowed to believe in evolution.

 

This is my look on god.He created life.Then it evolved and evolved...

The evidence for evolution is overwhelming to the point of it practically being a fact. The evidence for anything else (Intelligent Design, the "6,000 year old Earth theory", etc.) is sketchy at best.

Evolution is actually based upon the scientific method.

 

i dont believe in evolution because lets say an ape changes into a man, but where are the fossils of them half changing? Theres only fossils of apes and man and theres no fossils of them halfly evolved

 

I don't believe in it; because it hardly matches with the Bible, they're probably Cave Men that have gone hungry or something.

 

There are fossils of Neanderthal man.

 

Time is defined by where you are at in space.

God made us in 1 week his time. Is that to say it was 7, 24 hour days? Highly Doubtful.

I believe God made us with evolution. It was his "master plan". He did it in seven days but it was probably a few million years Earth time.

 

Evolution is real.. This would be a better topic for discussion in the mid 1850's

A multi-cellular lifeform cannot simply appear out of thin air it has to evolve.
I may be Catholic but there isn't a single commandment that doesn't say I can't not believe in evolution.

because there aren't really many other ideas about the origin of life besides a creation by a God than evolution... but people hardly believe in neither evolution or God because everyone has some desire (may it be small or a passion) to know where it all began.

i guess you could use the big bang, but the idea of evolution is much better than that, and more highly probable.

 

Atcually time is relative to how fast you are moving, not where you are.

 

We mainly want to believe that evolution is not real because we wish not to believe that there is no god, and people want a reasonable explanation of how we got here, so thats why some people don't believe in evolution, but I do, It's very explainable.

 

Evolution isn't a belief, it's a fact dispite what others say.

 

Even if that is the case, it still applies. Days are not always 24 hours. Hell, ours isn't either, technically is 23 hours and 56 min.

 

Evolution is really the only possible way we could've got to where we are today. If you really think about it, deep, deep thinking, the idea of a higher being creating everything is just unpheaseable. Unless your not capeable of thinking and are just too lazy or too closed minded to accept a different reality of life.
