do you admit playing runescape?

It generally doesn't get brought up in topic unless i'm asked "do you play video games". Aside from call of duty or sports games it is still just a video game not any more or less respectable just because it's RuneScape.

To simply answer the question, yes i do.

I remember in middle school literally half the guys in my class played the game..but knew one would admit it until one kid was talking about it then we all found out about each other "secret gaming life" and all played it together during computer class lmao

 

yes i admit to playing RuneScape and anything else that interests me, shouldn't hide what you like and who you are.

 

that's my issue, it's labeled as a "kid game" and well being 23 i find it hard to just sit there and tell people yea i play RuneScape..because well I guess sarcasm is apart of my language and would take their harassment but it's the fact of me being labeled as THAT guy.. i once dated a girl who worked at GameStop and played RS so it was awesome but lol not so much with other woman... gah

No, I don't bring it up. It usually comes up when people ask how did you buy that phone, that car, those things and so forth and then i'll tell them I make money off it but never mention that I casually play a game that is freely advertised on nickelodeon and other kids channels.

 

Im scared to tell my friends that I play Runescape. I've kept this secret for 5 years now.

 

I don't necessarily play Runescape anymore, but when I did, If someone asked me then I'd tell them, but like Glamazonia said, I'm not going to go around broadcasting it, but if I'm questioned I'm not going to lie, Rofl.

 

I'm 20 in a few days and I play rs I dont "brag" about it but Ive played it infront of people and I had my girl to play it a bit but she nvr got into it like she did rappelz.

I dont really care what people think, if they wanna judge me for playin a game, they can fuck off. lol

 

Everyone in my class/all my friends have played Runescape before, but are all like "omg it sucks". But actually, I don't give a f- about their opinion. The all play Minecraft/WoW/COD and those things, so I'm not afraid to say I play Runescape. It's also not my the only game I play, I play BF3, COD, TF2, Dirt, MOH,.... All around gamer.

 

I'm just saying that I wouldn't go far as kicking a guy below the belt over the fact that he plays a silly video game that I may or may not dislike. There are WAY worse habits that someone can have, something like the OP should be the least of someone's worries.

I'm not saying that standards are all bad to have, I'm sure everyone has them to a degree(who'd want to end up with some psycho, as an example). If just playing a game will get you injured though, you're definitely with the wrong person, imo.

The only way a problem would really arise and it wouldn't work out though is if the play time seriously 'cut me off from him', as in he would: not get a job, played near 24/7, we couldn't do anything together. Now if for some bizarre reason a game led him to hit me, yeah all bets are off then.


Tl;dr Don't let a little hobby such as playing RS or another video game make you feel like you'd be unwanted. Just playing isn't hurting anything; maybe playing for loooonng periods(since you are pretty much 'cut off' from your relationship), but playing in general isn't some big evil.

 

When i was addicted i kept it to myself, now i dont really care i wont bring it up but i tell people that i played and still do time to time.

 

well i don't... However the friends i do tell i make sure to include how much money i have made off this game so it gets them off my balls about playing it

 

I've never had very many problems. Last girlfriend i had when i admitted to her wound up having her account, and was only a few levels behind me

oh i totally agree, but i just have an issue with people judging me for what i do on my spare time... like i have a social life i mean i play sports, do paintballing have a full-time job.. but i do love the game and if i'm playing at 10pm and my gf calls me i'm not going to tell her yea i'm on the computer playing runescape because her 11 year old brother does too.. gah . lol

 

Totally agree, i mean i may have gone a bit too far as to say that she would hit me in the balls but cant really predict her reaction. Im not the type of guy one would expect to play games a lot considering my social life just a bit of fifa or cod. So she could be like "why do i still play since im 19 now?" or be a bit disappointed, girls are just mysterious like that.

 

lol exactly, so i'm just kinda stuck in this wheel of whether i should tell her i play this game i've been playing for 7 years and your little brother plays it too, awesome. I don't think i can do it heh.. i stopped playing CoD in general.. you play it on xbl or ps3?

 

Not at all, unless im talking to a person whom I have knowledge of playing the game also.
