You are probably too young to have been around for this, but if you remember back when they promised Dylock or whoever it was that they would give him free membership for life if he gave them info about the AutoRune dupe and instead they gave him a perm ban, then you would also think that Jagex is not being completely honest with cheaters.

The contract they have gives them every legal right to deny every applicant if they want to.

 

That was many years ago, I think I was in middle school then, but I remember that. Not only the AutoRune dupe, which was epic, but the actual banning itself.

That was very fucked up on Jagex's part, and I had even forgotten about that. Thank you for bringing that up.

According to the contract it says that you agree not to dispute the state your account is given back to you in.

Jagex could simply revert all your stats back to 1.

 

I'm not sure i understand where you are coming from SMR and everyone else that believes what he is saying is true. If they give you the option to pay to have your account unbanned they will unban you. There has been nothing official said for anyone to believe other wise. I read your post about how they offered dylock unlimited membership and then banned him but that doesn't justify your statement, it just makes this a conspiracy theory. They would literally have 0 gain from doing this. Obviously the point in this is to gain more money and if they kept 99.9% of people who paid banned then no one would do it. What you said makes no sense and I don't see why people are backing it lol :s

 

So then is this going to be offered for past banned accounts? Or may this be linked to the so "Mass Ban" that has been a rumor lately. Does anyone thing that this may lead up to getting accounts back during mass bans?? How would this money charge be accepted by Jagex? This is just getting weird.

 

There's this thing called fine print that big companies are good at making and little people are bad at reading. We are little people and they are big comapany. Haha I'm sure they've got their asses covered.

 

Wow jagex. They used to be so strict on their rules. Perm bans from botting are now rollbacks, and now they are potentially allowing players buy their accounts back...

Them charging for just the "chance" of becoming unbanned shows how greedy they really are. I'm sure they know deep down what accounts deserve to be unbanned; if that's the case they shouldn't have been banned in the first place.

 

You essentially pay money for your name back as a mod said "...along wiht a stinging rollback" meaning when you get your account back youll have level 1/0 of everything.
