    Is this game like WoW, or GuildWars where you can play with others online or is it just 1 player type game?

    You can do the campaign/quests online, though you still can't fight other players.

    it's not a 'free world' like WoW where all players hang out at the AH or whatever. You play solo, or join a game with up to 4 other players and go through Acts (levels/areas) instead of one big world.
