Destiny 2

Only twee weeks left before the release of Destiny 2! How many Sythe Guardians are out there?

I'm pretty hyped personally. Played a lot of Destiny on the PS4. Will probably also play on the PC after I build one

Ive been looking for a new game, you think destiny is a fun game to play? Honest opinion, and what type of games is it similar to?

 

Yeah, it's a lot of fun. There are loads of activities and misions to do both solo or in a group. It's not really similar to a game I've played. It's a FPS with great gunplay and RPG elements (loot, XP, grinding).

The Destiny 2 PC beta is going live in a few days. I'd say try it out to get a feel of the game.

Reckon I'll be getting this like I did with the original Destiny, I prefer the pvp aspect tbh, although some of the weapons were super op.

 

Saw this thread and I couldn't pass up on the chance to fanboy about it haha. Huge fan of Destiny 1, and I can't wait to play Destiny 2. Not big on the PVP elements though, I've always sucked at competitive and I never went to the Lighthouse ever. That said, I absorb all the PVE that I can. Raids, NFs, Arena, etc. can't get enough of those!

Looking forward to seeing Ghaul and the Legion in action!

 

Haha, fanboy myself as well. I started off with PvE but switched to mainly PvP after the first DLC. Ended up playing Trials every week. If you'd like to team up in the future, hit me up!

 

Super excited. i sold most of my current xbox games to get the season pass/expansions for it :'D

 

I'm excited for this on PC beta looked and felt great

 

I played the beta quite a bit. PVE is fun, PVP has its flaws with the controller autoaim and questionable damage scaling but on the whole is fun as well. Quick play should be longer but I did enjoy competitive.

 

Not long now cant wait! any idea if there will update the sections

Didn't get into the first one, but I'll be picking this one up, looks promising for sure.

 

So, how is everyone liking Destiny 2 a week after its release? Played quite a lot the past few days and it's great. It fixes a lot of gripes I personally had with Destiny 1.

 

Have to wait like, more than a month to get the PC version lol. Painful seeing console owners play it already but I suppose you guys are beta testing for us anyway

 

I like it soooooooo much. The game is so good. I totally agree that it fixed a lot of D1's shortcomings. It's kind of like Destiny 1.5, which isn't a bad thing because at the end of the day, I would totally play any Destiny game whether it's a full on experience or a spinoff.

What's everyone's light level so far? You guys have any tips? A friend told me the best way to grow your LL (light level) is to open powerful engrams one at a time. Open one, your LL goes up a bit, farm blues and infuse those to even out your set, then open the next powerful engram because that would scale to your current LL. Rinse and repeat.

Any other tips would be appreciated!

Haha yeah, by the time you guys get your copy, most likely a lot of the bugs and nasty stuff have been ironed out. Besides, you guys get 60fps while we get 30fps. Pretty cliched way of looking at it but you guys have the better hand.

 

That game died faster than I thought it would.

The only reason this game is online is as a DRM. If it was a real MMO, they would have simply updated Destiny and not made a Sequel.

 

You're not wrong, gave up on it after a month..

 

Two sides of thoughts on Destiny.

D1 was a okay game, not a bad one either. Hoping for better improvements in D2.
