[DENIED] Show a User's Active Reports

Just found out that the person who scammed me had an active report on them from a couple of days ago with a significant amount of proof. If I had seen this thread beforehand I would have definitely been more cautious, but it was buried in his profile.

I am suggesting we make active reports more visible on the person's profile so people can use their own judgment before trading. I was ignorant of information that should have been easily available to me since the reporting process is not instantaneous and open threads of reports are not easily found.

 

Won't be happening in terms of false reports etc. People should always use their own judgement, or atleast some judgement, before trading. We have an entire https://www.sythe.org/forums/report-a-scammer.253/ section in which people can look up if the user they are trading with has an active report up.

 

This suggestion would not enforce any punishment on the user. It would simply automate the process of looking up the person's name in the report section and visibly show the results in their profile via clickable threads. That way when you go to pm them it's clearly seen.

 

You mean how doing a simple google or sythe search would do the same.

 

No support from myself at this time. Check open reports before trading would solve this issue.

That's like saying since there is already a way to do something that takes 1 minute we shouldn't make a way to do it in 30 seconds.... more simple is always better

or In RS terms - grand exchange no support because you can just post a simple zybez offer... LOL

All of you guys seem to be supporting my reasoning more and more. "check open reports before trading" "always visit the report section"

This suggestion just automates those exact actions and puts it in a place visible... if you are trading 1000 people you are going to have to manually search the report thread 1000 times... why not automate it?

 

Making an algorithm or bot to automate this would be redundant as the RAS section is constantly changing. It would be taxing enough to warrant another server being used.

 

This won't be happening. We're also dealing with alot of non-scam reports in the RASC section aswell as reports that end up being resolved or people whom are being accused for scamming while an imposter actually did the job. This will ruin the market more than help it, sorry. Thanks for the suggestion though.
