[Denied] Discord Donor rank denominations

Suggesting Donors on sythe have a rank in sythe discord that has the donor rank category they have(5+,25+,50+ etc). Would be convenient to be able to click on them and see their donor status amount.
And/or sythe donors have a different color than the green used to distinguish just verified users.

 

Although I do think it's a little extra.. I guess it would help for verification purposes. But, everyone should be aware that donor status doesn't really hold a true meaning other than they donated.

Separating them by color is to much IMO.

 

I agree with MAGZ if you were able to just look at their roles and see it that would be fine. But if you're wanting each donor level to have it's own color I don't support that.

Would be quite a pain for mods to keep track/update them all, they're already extremely busy :/

 

I don't see a huge issue with having a users donor level/status stated in their 'role', but I do not support separate levels/colours/whatever per varying donor group.

It would very likely be automated. Presumably when they verify themselves with their Sythe Token, it would grab their forum donor status/amount.

 

To my knowledge, the bot can only pick up if you're a donor or not based on if you're in the 'donor usergroup'. The usergroup doesn't specify what level donor your are, which is why we manually add the $500 & $1000 roles. Also the donor ranks are images, so I don't believe it can pull from there either. @Dev Zach is the current programmer for the bot, he would be the one to ask

Ideally we would like to keep color roles exclusive and limited to the upper donor tiers, as a perk.

Im not saying seperate colors per user group, but just one single color for all donors and then 500/1000$ donors can be given seperate colors because donor perk.

@Dev Zach Cant donor levels be assigned user groups? Like instead of just "donor usergroup" have donor usergroups at the different levels? (Guessing that would then by a sythe site thing right?)

 

Yes thats a site thing so you would have to ask an admin for that one

I support this only if it was possible to be automated. If it wasn't automated I don't think staff would want to deal with people all the time asking for x donation rank.

 

No support even if it could be automated, it would probably ask too much from the bot, and the entire Discord server would be a mess. Keep in mind that Discord ranks can only be seen within the discord itself; most people probably PM each other to trade, at max they click their profiles to see if they are in mutual servers, which is why I'm against the Do Not Trade rank in the server aswell - it's rather useless and doesn't serve as much as we'd like it to.

 

To see the mutual servers, you have to open their profile and you automatically see their rank. Your argument is therefore invalid.

I support this as long as its not too much of an effort to implement. But it sounds like it will be.

 

How does one extra color change discord into a rainbow?

 

No yea, just a single "donor" color to distinguish between a normal and donor. The clicking would show the donor tier.
