PR youtube channel

The PR team would create a youtube channel and have sythe.org users submit videos to upload to the channel.







Sythe.org users can submit videos to have uploaded to the Sythe.org's official
youtube channel.



Also, the PR team could host events such as Video of the Month (VOTM) where users can enter to win the;
Best Quest Guide,
Best PVM guide,
Best Runescape holiday event guide,
Best RS pking video,
Best Sythe how-to guides,
there could also be more options for different games,
and users could win prizes for their entries.

-Youtube minirank:


-Competition winner fun-rank awarded once a year to the
user who wins the most events hosted throughout the year (like the SOTM)

-Sythe Gold

-Could also post a link on the youtube video of the Sythe user and possibly
a thread of one of their sales/services?

True, the only issue would be where the funds would come from. I like this idea though. The PR team could also host PR events like CDT does, except like you mentioned it would be best guide, best tutorial ect. The only issue would be funds ofc.

Yeah it was directed most likely for guides, as you mentioned bigger streamers/pkers probably don’t want to be tied to a blackmarket forum publicly, but for guides on games, and sythe.org guides I think it would be successful with the right advertisement and maybe host some events so people can win prizes for their work

 

There would definitely be sythe related content, but I think that that would quickly die out if it was strictly sythe guides/tutorials.

Ot: game related content will provide more opportunities to host events/get more viewers to watch and possibly join Sythe.



-Another possibility would be to keep the sythe related content separate and out of the monthly events and have a separate minirank tier for sythe guide providers.

If the minkrank tier is doable, we can come up with terms that users have to meet to qualify to move up in the tier rank such as:

1- User submits a sythe video guide
2- PR/staff team will review the video and approve, possibly with a vote?
3- Video will be uploaded to YouTube and minirank will be awarded.


Sythe YouTuber l:
Submit 1 approved sythe video guide

Sythe YouTuber ll:
Submit 5 approved sythe video guides

Sythe Youtuber lll:
Submit 10+ approved sythe video guides

 

Im assuming since it would be an official sythe channel @Sythe, an admin, or the PR team leader would hold the log in credentials for the YouTube account, as far as upkeep/uploading I’ve already volunteered to take lead on the project.

If for some reason I moved on from PR I would assume the PR leader would take charge as there’s not a lot of activity within PR, Which is why I’m trying to be more productive with it.

I wouldn’t really see any reason for compensation for the person running the channel as it would mostly be uploading/upkeep of videos which is part of volunterering your time for PR IMO, however I would like to see some funds go towards events, not only for PR but for CDT and possibly the community repayment if it did get that far.

 

That was my original idea, however if we were to ask people to promote a black market forum bigger streamers/video content makers might not want there channel publicly tied to it. We could keep the official sythe channel for monthly competitions for video game content contests and just have the sythe how to’s uploading to individual user’s YT channels and award the miniranks respectively.

Who’s in charge of running it? And would it be possible for PR to implement this?

 

I saw that we had a channel already, I just didn’t know if PR had anything to do with it as we’ve been fairly inactive recently. But as far as getting miniranks and awards approved to move forward with this I guess would be the real suggestion, in which this can be closed and moved to the PR thread for any future discussion if needed
