[Denied] Allow fundraising for charity on sythe

Hi,

I would like to propose allowing fundraising for charity on Sythe. I don't think this should be a problem if management is willing to help. There was strong support for this kind of idea but for repayment fund.
[DENIED] Repayment idea. This idea is different in the sense money would be going to charity. Personally I would like for my minis to be auctioned off and proceeds given to charity so if I get banned again maybe permanently for helping a newcomer report a scammer at least my miniranks don't go to waste. I could do this myself but I think more money would be generated if a member of staff handled the minis which I am willing to send and the payments. A @everyone alert like the other auctions would be nice so hopefully a decent amount can be raised. I have a lot of money in the miniranks I have and am willing to buy more as well to raise even more money.

 

As suggest in the Sythe Discord. I believe you should create you own auction thread or sell them individually and then donate the proceeds to the community repayment fund.

 

This isn't really a suggestion more so asking if a member of staff would like to auction off your remaining mini's and donate them to a charity.

No support. (Also I'd be against the idea of fundraising for charity sales unless the charity is verified by a Admin as some people may try to take advantage of people's kindness)

 

Pretty sure I responded to you saying it would raise more money if there was an alert in news like other auctions. Also other scumbags may say for charity collect proceeds and not donate to a charity. People usually pay more for things when they know the money is going for a good cause. A staff member dealing with it could help provide more sense of security.

What's stopping you from auctioning them off and giving the money to charity yourself? Seems like you're trying to get people to overpay for your miniranks.

Sythe isn't going to take a stance on how users donate their money to charity, so this will certainly not happen.

 

why do I care if people overpay if I am not handling the money or keeping any money myself? It is cause of people like you I am saying let someone else 'trusted' handle it like the community repayment fund. Nice try to make me look bad though. I could sell them all off easily . I just want to be done with this site as quick as possible. I have sold over 100's of miniranks don't think anyone has once complained about price to me.
